"The place is absolutely stunning and we loved the secret door in particular. The fact there was some basic provisions when we arrived was super. The size of the apartment was much bigger than expected, and the decor, although a bit dated was in keeping with the property. The local village was quaint and we enjoyed a meal and drinks at the local pub one night."

"We had a great holiday. We stay for 4 nights ( 4 adults and 2 children (10 and 6)). The lodge is very cosy and it is very spacious. My son was very happy watching the ducks swimming in the pond. Children watched rabbits running around outside the lodge. Our grandparents flew over from Lithuania and they were left awestruck. Highly recommended Many Thanks😊"

The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

The whole experience revolved around access to hot water. I was late to work because there was no hot water. "Lovely caravan in a convenient and beautiful location. The caravan itself was clean and well equipped. The outdoor bath was a huge hit with the children. The owners of the farm on which the caravan is located couldn't be more friendly and accommodating if they tried. My son, 13, had a brilliant time helping to milk the cows. He didn't want to leave really. The amount of space for the children to play in was great too. I'd certainly recommend this place to families."

We had the most relaxing overnight stay and had not a need or want in the world while there. If you were ever in the area of penrith, you simply cannot do better than to stay at this location. "Wonderful views and the feeling of being in The Lakes. Good spaces for walking the dog. Rooms are spacious and dog friendly with the inevitable trace of dog hairs on the divan bed. I stayed at this place on my way to Buttermere. It allowed an early start on quiet roads and was cheaper than staying in any of the towns en route. I did not eat in the hotel but the nearby services have hot breakfast rolls and good coffe. "
