Magnificent 70' Houseboat with Roof Top Party Deck Walking Distance to DT Knox

Tired of staying in the same old stuffy boring hotel room? So were we, so we decided to own our own Houseboat on the Tennessee River, where we could walk to just about everything. The “Moonlight Madness” is docked in the peaceful Volunteer Landing Marina in Knoxville. The marina is steps away from award winning “Ruth’s Chris” steakhouse and Calhoun’s On the River. You can walk to both as well as the Neyland Greenway, James White Greenway, Neyland Stadium, Thompson-Boling arena, University of Tennessee and the vibrant Market Street in Downtown Knoxville. We can accommodate 6 people in beds. We have 2 bedrooms, one king size bed in the master and a Full bed in the crew quarters and a queen size pull out couch, along with 2 bathrooms. We feature 3 decks, one off the bow, one off the stern (great for morning coffee or catching some rays) and a 70' PARTY DECK on the roof. The party deck has abundant seating along with 2 flatscreen HD television and a gas grill. The master also has a 40' Vizio UHD flatscreen with Smartcast. The salon also has a 50' UHD flatscreen. Our boat comes fully stocked with clean linens and towels. The galley also comes fully stocked with dishes, utensils and small appliances along with Hi-Speed internet. You will meet a lot of very nice people that reside at the marina full time. Also, we have an golf cart and 2 Kayaks,1SUP and 2 beach cruiser bikes that are available for you to use while at our boat. Sorry, but the Houseboat doesn't leave the marina because of the river current. We also have a full-time Marina Manager and store on site should you need anything or have any questions with our boats. We want your stay with us to be a memorable one, and will make every attempt to make you want to come back. Proud to be a Premier Partner Host. Our boat is strictly non-smoking non-vaping.

A unique place to stay!! Great Decor inside and as many others have noted, the party deck up top was fantastic. We did have an issue with the head that rendered it useless for the first day but the host bought us dinner and drinks to make up for it. It was an issue with the Marina and not the owner. Check it out as an alternate to a hotel in downtown. It was fun.

On the river

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. It was very convenient to the Riverwalk and a variety of local restaurants. I had to communicate with the owner about one thing and he was immediately available and very patient.

Weekend on the River

We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Moonlight Madness! Great location, well apportioned boat with excellent amenities. We enjoyed the cool vibes even in the summer heat. Easy access to downtown Knoxville on the free trolley.

Nice Boat

The actual boat was nice, and the upper deck is great! Owner was very quick to respond. The surrounding environment could be better. There was an odd smell outside that got into the living room area and several other boats were dumping garbage into the water. One didn't see my daughter and splashed her. We decided to cut our stay short by a night.

Marvelous Moonlight Madness !!

It was absolutely awesome! The owners were great and very attentive, organized, and available for questions. Their Moonlight Madness houseboat went beyond our expectations ... roomy, comfortable beds, clean, great TVs and top deck, and the golf cart was invaluable. Location - perfect. We definitely recommend, and we are now planning our next visit back !

Nice houseboat in convenient location

The boat was very clean and thoughtfully decorated - very fun/cool music theme. It was very comfortable and relaxing. This was our first time on a houseboat and it was nice to be on the water with great access to the city of Knoxville. Our kids enjoyed the kayaks which were available for our use. We would recommend this houseboat to others.

Wonderful Stay!

The house boat was a wonderful and unique stay while visiting the University of Tennessee with my raising senior and family. After a full day of touring the campus and the Knoxville area it was so relaxing to hang out on the top deck with amazing water view and a glass of wine. The golf cart was such a nice added bonus. We enjoyed a casual and yummy dinner at Calhaun’s with more beautiful water views. Thank you for sharing your houseboat. It was an absolute wonderful stay in every way!

Relaxing and unique experience

We loved staying on the Moonlight Madness houseboat. Alfons, our host, and Joe at the marina were very welcoming and available during our stay. Sitting out side on the upper patio, enjoying the breeze and river views was so relaxing. Easy access to downtown Knoxville and several restaurants gave us lots of options for dining and to explore. This was our first time renting a boat on a vacation and it provided a unique experience for our entire family. Thank you, Cheers!

Was worried about the motion in the ocean but you can really not tell that you are on the water unless you just stare right at the water and try to watch the boat move. Otherwise you really think your just on a condo! Golf cart usage was a really nice addition!

Go Vols!

Rented this spot while visiting my daughter in school. The boat was clean and delivered more space then promised when you considered how much you could use the hardtop. We are boaters so this was an easy choice for us. Going to bed and waking up watching the river flow was a real treat and I liked having enough room to cook and play games with my family. Walking/ carting distance to Calhouns and Ruth's Chris, two of our favorite spots. Had our dog with us and there are nice paths to walk along the river right out of the marina. Parking took us a minute to figure out and the golf cart could use a tune-up, but the owner was always prompt and helpful answering my questions. Would recommend any day of the week!

Awesome alternative to a hotel or house!

We absolutely loved our time on the water. My son enjoyed being able to wake up each morning and fish off the boat. My daughter loved the geese...they would visit each day for her to feed them snacks. She even named a few of them. The pictures and description of the property are accurate. The boat is stocked with plenty of towels, pillows, blankets and other linens. The bathrooms were stocked with travel size deodorant, toothpaste and other items just incase you forget to pack something. The marina is not super busy or loud, yet everything is nearby. The beds were super comfortable and the decor was unique. The top deck was great for watching TV, grilling and playing games. Alfons was a very responsive and friendly host. We would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. Thank you for providing a great stay!

Best Houseboat Ever

Rented this beauty for my daughter’s birthday. We could have stayed anywhere but I wanted something different since it was my daughter’s birthday. This houseboat was the perfect solution. It’s spacious, had plenty of amenities, the heaters worked great (yes it was 30 degrees at night), the host is so accommodating and responsive. Being on the river is peaceful, relaxing and so quiet. We loved every minute of it and didn’t want to leave. The golf cart definitely came in handy for my elderly mother as the boat is located a ways from the parking lot. The decor is music themed and charming. The owner even left some flowers and a birthday card for my daughter. I highly recommend this as a place to stay but I probably shouldn’t because it’s already booked the next time we are coming to town. So glad we decided to try something new! Thanks Fonz for the quick replies and being such an accommodating host.
