  • Townhouse is centrally located on highway TN 62. Here's just how convenient shopping, dining and fun is to my home. Go east and less than one mile on Oak Ridge Highway, TN 62, and there is a Walgreens and a brand new Ingle's super market. Close by is highway TN 162 which is a freeway to the west side of Knoxville, where your will find upscale shopping, restaurants and a Kroger or a Publix super market just off the freeway. And finally, if you drive North West to the town of Oak Ridge which is about 10+ minutes away, it too is overflowing with good restaurants and shopping. The only transportation/logistics drawback that we are aware of is that Oak Ridge highway, TN 62, is very busy during am and pm rush hours. But, with a little planning of your departures and arrivals you can schedule around any inconvenience.

    Kitchen is fully furnished with dinnerware sets, pots and pans with all the kitchen utensils needed to prepare full meals at home. The appliances ware modern and work magnificently. Dishwasher, washer and dryer, everything you need to be home for the duration. Full size bathroom has a step in shower/tub combination. And then, there is the comfy king bedroom and the bunk bed bedroom with two Queen beds and two single beds.

Enjoyed my stay here

Really enjoyed my stay here, had everything I needed and it was comfortable, and clean. If I ever had a question owner would respond quickly and made check in/out really easy. Would stay here again.

Steep Stairs

Steep stairs to entrance and especially to bedrooms Loved code for easy check in. Owner allowed us to check in a little earlier. Nice size rooms. Lots of hooks for hanging clothes, towels. Really liked the openness of the living room and dining room. A plus to have coffee provided. Kitchen was well equipped. No hair dryer, body wash/bar soap, dish cloth to clean dishes or ice.

Very nice stay

House was very comfortable. The pictures don’t show all the improvements to the home and furniture and we were pleasantly surprised at all the differences. All the beds, the king bed and the bunk beds have super comfortable mattresses. The bunk beds have 10 inch adult mattresses. And the home was spotless. This is the third house that I have stayed at in this neighborhood. It is clear to me, that this location is very safe with kids outside playing and primary made up with hard working families. The covered back porch is where we sat and had morning coffee. Not certain when I'll be back to Knoxville, but I will be checking to see if this house is available again when I do.

Great place to stay if you want to visit Windrock

This was bigger than I expected. Clean place in a quiet neighborhood. Served it’s purpose for my trip. Only downfall was the loud refrigerator.

A great value for a family

We ended up with four kids on our trip and the landlord was very accommodating for our last-minute adjustment. Significantly cheaper than a hotel and everyone had their own bed. You can't really go wrong with this scenario. The place was clean. It had everything we needed for our time in Knoxville.

Nothing fancy but still good

Nice place. Only 2 small complaints: there was a bleach-y smell in the kitchen when we arrived that I found rather gross, and there was no laundry soap provided. Otherwise the house was fine. Nothing fancy but fine.

The condo was great for what we needed. Needs some remodel, but the homeowners are working on that!

Overall it was what we needed. The homeowners were doing construction on the outside of the home, so we weren’t able to let the kids use the yard. The carpet in some rooms was in great need of updating, and the kitchen cabinets had a foul smell to them (like the home was shut up for sometime) the bunk beds were great being we are large family, and the home was nicely stocked so we didn’t need to worry about towels or dishes. Overall, the stay accomplished what we needed!

Karns area townhouse.

The townhouse is accurate in photo and description. The owner promptly answered our questions and concerns. It is a very quiet neighborhood for sleep at night The cleaning people should dust better as I cleaned cobwebs off the blinds and windows. There's a musty smell on the first floor maybe from being closed up a while. The bath towels should be replaced with newer ones. The beds proved to be comfortable however, and we slept well. Thank you Sheila!

Couldn't be better

The location was perfect. The duplex was clean and tidy. The ONLY thing that was an issue - and it was my fault for not checking on this prior - is there's only one bathroom. This made it a bit difficult to get ready and out the door in a reasonable time. Again, this is MY FAULT for not checking. Regardless. I would have still booked the property.

When I pulled up to the property i couldn't find the code to get in. It was hidden in the welcome message. The owner answered and instead of just telling me the code she made me search thru the message to find it. As we were going up the steps we noticed they were cracked and crumbled. My aunt who traveled with me had a hard time getting up and down them for fear of falling on the steps. The freezer had mold in it. I had to clean it in order to use it. We checked the washer and it was filthy. I reached out to Sheila about it and she never responded. We went to Walmart to buy bleach and cleaning supplies to clean up. The bathroom was clean. The kitchen was clean outside of the freezer. Some of the furniture was not the same as in the photos. There were bugs as well as a smell. No matter how much my aunt sprayed there was a smell. I was disappointed with my stay. It wasn't as it seemed on the pictures at all.

Never Again

When you walk in your hit with an over powering smell of mold. Both of us were sick after using the dishes on day 1. We door dashed dinner. Went through the dishes then to find plenty that were nasty. We have been together for 6 years and we have never been sick at the same time till we stayed here. I then went looking since i am a previous housekeeper... nice dirty used band aid qnd teeth flosser in the couch. Microwave needed to be cleaned. Even the envelope left for your housekeeping tips was nasty. My tip is hire a professional company who has standards not some random person who is going to half ass it. The bed well you might as well sleep in the floor I assure you it is more comfortable. The TV well you can only use it if others are not due to it only being a fire stick. There is no cable or satellite as listed!. After cooking our 1st breakfast clean up we left for the day go return to not a few but literally hundreds of ants in the kitchen and bathroom. They we not lessened by the ant traps maintenance brought over to us. Also im pretty convinced when I booked there were only 8 to 10 pics. None showing it is a damn duplex! It now does have 50 +pics and shows it. I never would of rented a duplex! A pool is listed as an amenities...I assure you no pool here. And the community pool shouldn't be listed as an amenities for this property! Also if you stay during a week day I guarantee both neighbors dogs are out will wake you promptly at 730am with their barking and will also constantly here them if your in bed between 9pm and 10pm. You can't enjoy what little back patio this place has because the neighbors dog will do nothing but bark at you till you go back inside. Also the renovations she boast about MINIMUL at best. You dont see the 80 orange carpet in the pics due to cheap large room rugs in every room but you sure can when you sleep here. All the chipped or peeling paint of course is not in any picture I saw. I was not expecting the ritz but I sure was expecting clean dishes and oven mits that are not covered in unknown baking substances. Also I was not expecting to buy things such as salt and pepper! When I was told the home is ready for use. Like I said never again !

Excellent Location for our Family

The Karns VRBO was the perfect location for our family to visit relatives living in the Oakridge and West Knoxville area. We we’re grateful that there was a grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurants within a few miles. Leaving snow behind in MN we welcomed the TN spring weather and enjoyed sitting on the deck and exploring the back yard with our two preschool age children. The yard was partially fenced in and open to the front yard and the street. Fortunately the VRBO is located in a quiet neighborhood so there wasn’t any heavy traffic. The VRBO had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking meals and we definitely appreciated having a laundry room with washer and dryer! There are steep steps to get to the upstairs bathroom and bedrooms, so if you have toddlers you may want to bring a baby gate! We found this VRBO to be very clean, we had plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable. Our only concern was that the master bedroom carpet, that was covered by a beautiful area rug, was stained and had a strong smokey smell. The owner quickly responded to any questions we had related to adjusting the thermostat. Her guidance was helpful and the temperature in the VRBO was always comfortable. Our family definitely would stay here again and we enjoyed our stay.
