Great spot to stay. Solid place for the price as well. Would stay here again for a longer term. Don't be scared of the medium priced menu. Each meal could be split between a couple!

Great location. Close to shops, restaurants and night life. But also in a quiet location. The hotel is in good condition and has polite staff.

The location of the hotel is great- right in the middle of the Chaweng and close to everything, the breakfast was good and the beach is clean. The rooms are located between many trees, which attract a lot of mosquitoes. The wifi in the rooms rarely works, and when it does it has very poor connection. There was a construction going on in the hotel from the morning till the evening- we paid full price for this time, though we couldn't eat or sleep in this noise. There is no hot water in the shower. When we talked to the manager she was very rude and said there is nothing that can be done and offered us a free meal in the hotel restaurant under very specific conditions- we left the coupon for the meal and left the hotel. Do not recommend. They don't appreciate their guest.

Beautiful beach at Chaweng
Very quiet chalet type accomodation in a very busy area. Wonderfulbeach 100´ away. Hundreds of restaurants close by-------would stay there again

the rooms were ok, but not great. relatively clean but needed a bit of work. water pressure was awful, making it impossible to have anything but a cold shower with trickling water at best.

Well worth a visit, honest Malibu review
This is the second time we have stayed at Malibu, and it must be said that their location is great. About 400m from the Ark Bar Beach Party, close enough to walk but far enough not to hear the party. Direct access to the beach 50m from our bedroom. We had access to loads of restaurants, bars, street vendors the walking street and more all within 2-3 minute walk. Accross the road is the Central Festival mall, with more conventional shopping and dining options. I may have described chaos, but Malibu is a peaceful retreat in the middle of Chaweng Beach, you wouldnt believe the amount of activity around you if you. The beach pool is also amazing, cocktails and cold beers on the beach an absolute must. We travelled with two older children (15 & 18), Malibu set us up with really spacious adjoining rooms with comfortable bed, lounging area, flat screen, solid internet, sufficient plug sockets, large shower/wet room and safe. Hiccup, there was a technical error on our air conditioning, which started to leak water into the room, engineering staff were available to put an interim fix in place after 11PM, and fully repaired by the morning, crisis averted. A more polished management team may have made an apology for the inconvenience. Our only negative would be that breakfast was poor This is our 5th trip to Thailand and 3rd to Samui, I would rate Malibu 5/5 for location and 4.5/5 for value. Well worth a visit

Central location for good value
Hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the main restaurants and shopping center in Chaweng Beach. Lovely beachfront location for the dinning and pool. The rooms are basic but have all the amenities required. Rooms were well serviced daily. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We included the buffet breakfast in our accommodation however given the location you could have easily visited local cafes/restaurants. The buffet was fairly basic with only limited options. Overall our week stay was good value for money.

Great location and a lovely stay
We had a wonderful time here as the hotel is in a great location It has a great infinity pool which was fantastic but Im unsure what it would be like in the busy season . Basic but more than adequate brekky , and we had the best meal I had in the whole of Koh Samui at Mazaro, their Italian restaurant . The room we had was a good size with a balcony terrace . The only down side was the air conditioning which I don't think was strong enough. Overall though we had a great stay and would definately come back .

Perfect hotel for Koh Samui
Hotel is in a great spot, with rooms recently been improved which are very comfortable. Bathroom still a little old. The hotel exceeded my expectations and would happily stay here again.

A great stay
Nice hotel with excellent service and a good location. Easy to access banks, 7-eleven, money changer, restaurants, spa and etc. All in walking distance. Rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable. The staffs were very polite and friendly

Perfect location opposite main shopping complex. Lovely pool and restaurant right on beach. Staff are delightful. Definitely recommend to guests who prefer a smaller resort Excellent Thai chef . Western options including wood fired pizza Cheaper rooms are very small but comfy beds

Great Location
We stayed there for 1 week in August 2016 and very pleased with the location, staff, cleanliness and overall ambience of this hotel. The Hotel Manager; Alex in particular was very attentive and helpful helping us coordinate flights, scooter hire and activities. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Just renovated. The aircon is strong and the room is clean. Is located opposite Central Festive. When u walk out there is a money changer and a massage place. The choice of breakfast is very limited but still acceptable.

Lovely rooms, quiet, small hotel with nice pool right on the beach. Breakfast was basic but fine, they are still doing some renovations to the restaurant/bar area but not loud building work. Had an amazing stay and was perfect for what we wanted, a nice quiet hotel right on the beach and good location in Chaweng bay.

The room was quite filthy, especially the bathroom. The beachside area was nice, but I would not recommend the rooms themselves, nor would I recommend the morning breakfast. However, the staff was very friendly/responsive and the hotel was located in a desirable area.

The hotel is located at a perfect place in Chaweng: right across from a new shopping centre. The hotel has a warm feel and a lovely path that winds down to the beach. The beach is impeccable. Most everything you need is within walking distance. The hotel deals with the same issues you'll face anywhere in Koh Samui, namely, a taxi cartel that gauges customers. However, you can rent scooters from the hotel. Our biggest gripe would be that the hotel breakfast was subpar though the pad thai I had one evening was impeccable.

Not worth the room rate
Though the location is good and central, the maintenance of the room leaves much to be desired. Wash basin was clogged. For the room rate it has been quoted at, it is definitely not worth it. Breakfast was also a letdown. I would recommend other places if they share similar room rates.

The location couldn't be better, with direct access to the beach, but it was 1950's standard of dwelling. Were the owners to spend a few grand on renovations, it would deserve the 3 star rating it is supposed to have. Restaurant Manager/Chef was very good and very pleasant.

I enjoyed my time at the hotel. The staff is amazingly friendly and the accommodations despite being a bit old are quite nice. The breakfast is awful but I did not care because the location is amazing and right accross the street from a large shopping center with a plethora of eating options.

Good 'Budget' hotel.
A friend and myself just stayed there for 2 weeks. It's a budget hotel with just about everything you'd need. The pool, restaurant and bar area overlook the beach which is nice and most of the staff are really friendly. The rooms could do with a bit of an update, but they are functional. Cleanliness was a little in the low side though with squashed bugs on the wall and soap scum built up in the bath. Breakfast is pretty simple but the regular food menu is really good. If you're after a 5 star hotel, then go pay for one. Malibu is a budget hotel with basic facilities, that being said I'd definitely stay there again. It's location and price are hard to beat and you don't have the noise issues like a few other hotels on the beach.

Friendly hotel in the heart of Chaweng Beach
The staff at this hotel are exceptional, with most going out of their way to be friendly and caring. The rooms have a rustic and relaxed vibe. While the rooms are nice, the bathrooms are a little dated and could use a facelift. The breakfast was very basic and I ended up eating elsewhere. The hotel is opposite the new shopping centre in Chaweng, which is very handy. It's also on a great stretch of the beach, with crystal clear water.

I chose this hotel for location at the beach and close to restaurants and shops and was not disappointed! Even though some of the buildings have seen their better days, I sense that this hotel is trying hard to make things as good as possible with what they have. I was upgraded to a better room with spa. The staff in the reception area were very polite and helpful. The cleaning lady stopped me on the path to the beach to ask if I wanted her to clean my room. And every time I met staff, I was greeted with a smile and sa-wa-dee-ka/kap. Only the restaurant staff at the beach during the day could be a bit more attentive. The breakfast buffet was according to my taste buds a bit basic.

Huge room, nice bed, very close to the nightlife in chaweng, but not too close that you can't sleep. Maybe a 5 minute walk from all the clubs. Very good value

사진으로 보는거보다 방크기가 커보였고 깨끗했습니다. 조식은 죽 또는 아메리칸 브렉퍼스트 중 선택이었고 메뉴는 매일 같았습니다. 룸에 비치타올 준비되어 있고 호텔직원 또는 레스토랑 직원한테 비치체어 요청하면 모래밭에 설치해 줍니다. 센트럴 사무이가 호텔 바로 앞에 있어서 이용하기 편했구요. 코로나로 인해 주변에 로컬 음식점은 거의 문닫아서 식당찾기가 어려웠습니다. 그나마 호텔 레스토랑이 음식 맛도 괜찮고 가격도 괜찮았습니다. 호텔 앞에보면 항상 택시가 서있는데 어느정도 흥정 가능하니 꼭 흥정해서 타세요 기본 가까운 거리도 400-500바트 달라고 하는데 250-300 정도까지는 나름 쉽게 깍을수 있어요
