Not a beach property. Can access ocean but no beach. Old dirty pool. Dated rooms. Needs updating desperately. Breakfast exact same every day. Staff very friendly. Near town. Property itself is ALL HILLS and STAIRS so be warned. Food is very bland . Very basic

The pool was small and squeezed in between buildings. Website pictures misleading, no pool by the beach and the hotel does not have a beach, not even a shower by the patio by the water. The Chaweng beach is full of oil spills, had to buy throw-away beach shoes to step on beach at all.

We had a room with a plunge pool which we used quite often and it was nice to relax in to beat the heat, especially on evenings. Room was spacious and plenty of outside space to relax and hang washing etc. One slight annoyance was the fact mosquitoes somehow were getting in throughout the night even though we had all doors and windows locked and I got bit quite a few times even with repellent on. Breakfast was good and all the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this place based on the price and quietness of the resort.

No beach and very poor access to the shoreline (rusty stairway); limited menu; pool bar service is poor (drinks are not actually made poolside); room was clean but tired and dated, #319);stairs throughout this hillside property can be challenging. The best features are the people staffing the front desk and concierge (Michelle and Natty) who go above and beyond to assist. Along with Ray and the polite cleaning staff, it’s the people who deserve a high rating.

Great hotel - bad location
The Briza Beach Resort is an excellent hotel in a not-so-great location. It is too far from the action to walk and despite the hotel being on the water, there is no sand / beach. Just a beach wall. We needed to use Tuktuks every time to go eating, drinking or shopping. Which was okay - but not ideal with children.

The staff is wonderful as they will go above and beyond to make your stay the best vacation. The desk clerk helped us plan our week with a private driver to see the beautiful sites on Samui. Our day started with a breakfast that was fresh and delicious. The resort does not extend onto the beach. You have to go down some steps. We loved walking on the beach and relaxing. We also loved relaxing in the pools. And one of the pools was the perfect pool for our 3 year old grandson. He learned to put his face in the water. We would definitely stay at Briza again.

Even though the hotel is a bit outdated it's hard not to give a high rating since it's really cheap, a lot of "bang for the bucks", and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Only negative is that the hotel doesn't have their own beach access, unless when the tide is low, that was a bit surprising (pictures didn't tell). We stayed in a supreme room (325) with a plunge pool at the balcony which was really nice.

Since we had an unrefundable room, we still came to Samui admist a 2nd Covid spread in the area. So understandably the hotel needed to cater to only a handful of guests. However the beds were really hard, we didn't have hot water the first night, and the pool was dirty until we complained. Also there is no beach access, so we had to go down the hill to cut through another hotel. The grounds are ok and nice, but be prepared to walk up and down the steep hill if you want to get to the beach. Also steep ramps to get to our room, so not a hotel for the feeble.

The hotel was ok, the only reason why we booked this was because of the private plunge pool. We arrived and our room was on the ground floor abd therefore our outdoor area with our plunge pool was completely in the shade. The prices had halved since I had booked the holiday so I asked at reception if we could move. They did give us a much better located plunge pool room on the top floor, but the old wooden step to the plunge pool was slightly broken (with a drop to one side over the low railing) they did I’m one out and fix this but this was really dangerous. Staff were friendly enough. We have to leave the holiday early due to covid19, all hotels had been flexible where we had prebooked to stay asking if we were still coming and Expedia offering full refunds. As I left this hotel early (and paid an inflated cost) I have been trying to get the money back the the I stayed nights, with no negotiation they will not reimburse any of these costs despite me explaining I had to pay another £2500 to get home with the crisis. I thought they have have been a little more compassionate, I find this really dissapointing.

The view and our room was great. However the two complaints we have were that the hotel was very accommodating when we arrived early and there are not beach chairs, all the chairs facing the ocean were basically shaded by trees. Would stay again but was disappointed by those two things.

We had an ocean front room with a private pool which was absolutely gorgeous. We both loved it. I am not sure would have liked the other rooms as much so if you want to stay here pay extra for the ocean front rooms - you won't regret it! Only negative point was that buffet breakfast wasn't great especially for British style breakfast - 'muesli' was just oats; bacon was always empty and had to be asked for every day; baked beans were always virtually empty and cold; juice was overconcentrated and far too sweet; fruit was warm. Room service food was good and cocktails were lovely. My husband tells me that the beer in the minibar was cheaper than in the supermarket! Overall a great stay apart from breakfast (but that didn't really bother us anyway)

This hotel should definitely not be a 4 star. The look of the room is pleasing and the design of the hotel fantastic but there is no luxury to classify the resort as 4 star Rooms are only serviced in the late afternoon and the food made us all sick, so we stopped even having breakfast in the hotel. All bad reviews have a response from the hotel saying that they are going to improve.

From the moment we arrived the staff did everything they could to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. The resort itself is beautiful and has direct access to the beach. We stayed in a 2 bedroom with our own private pool which was fantastic and also cleaned daily. This was our second visit to the Briza and we will definitely be back again.

Great staff
the staff is so awesome at this resort. Who ever is in charge of hiring and training is doing an excellent job. Michelle and Net (not sure of the spelling) at the front desk are outstanding. Net gave me a ride to my destination after she got off work one afternoon. The staff at the food area was so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, Ruth and Toto are performers who know more songs than you realize. So nice and very open to requests. We will stay again if we go back to Samui.

Great value private pool beachside villa!
Fabulous private pool beachside villa! The resorts decor is a little outdated, the bed was extremely firm, the food was a little bland, andthere were a ton of mosquitoes, but the staff was fabulous, the villa itself was exquisite, and overall we enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you, Briza!

You get the BEST ataff at the BRIZA
We had a great 2 week stay here. The staff at the Briza are exceptional - friendly, helpful and always smiling! Jenny and the wait staff were lovely - they were always efficient, helpful, and great to have a conversation with and a fantastic sense of humour.Our suite was great with a plunge pool, the bed was Ginormous, the shower roomy, the suite cleaned daily. Breakfast was included. But without a doubt, the staff are its bighest asset - THANKS TO YOU ALL

The size of the rooms are incredible. 2 story private villas with 2 separate bathrooms and lovely balcony. The swim up bar was brilliant and the bar staff working were so friendly. Highly recommend this hotel. Stunning and right on the beach too.

First thing I must say, they don't like early check-ins as we checked out early from our Hotel at Lamai, then went via Taxi to Chaweng Beach. They made us wait until 2pm. The first night, we thought the bed was a bit hard. In the morning as we were heading for breakfast, We were approached by Miss Jenny, Assistant Customer Relations Supervisor, and asked us how our stay in this hotel. We explained to her that the bed was a bit hard, and straight away she aranged a topper to be added to our bed. Miss Jenny looks after the customers really well. She is a great asset t the hotel.10 out 10 for Service. A Great Resort to stay Plunge pool was awesone.

Our overall stay was good at the villa with a plunge pool. To be specific, we stayed at Villa 501. We realised much later that there was a recurring fault with the air conditioner in the master bedroom. How many ever times the staff claimed to repair it, nothing was solved till the end. The bathroom fittings are quite out dated, so it would be great if one could replace those.

The Briza was only a few steps from the beach. Clean, well-kept rooms. We had problems with the shower and the air conditioning, both issues were resolved promptly. I would recommend it, but the issue when we stayed was the continuous noise from 8:30am to 6:00pm daily due to renovations and extensions to the resort which spoilt the peacce.

Hotel on the beach but very spread out and hilly so I would advise against staying here if you have mobility issues or a pram for instance. The 2 bed plunge pool rooms are ideal for 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 teenagers, I would suggest they are not suitable for families with children under 12 as the 2nd room is completely seperate with no secure area in between. Breakfast is excellent. There was a lot of upgrading work being done during our stay and this property will have a new bar area and new gym shortly. The staff are all very nice and friendly.

Would stay again, staff are rude in the resturant area, constant renovations going on, they closed the gym and gave us no alternative facilitys. The air-conditioning did not work, the room was always filled with mosquito's and two rooms could see in my windows while I had a shower. The hotel is a dump don't stay here
