"Amazing view from the spacious balcony, large rooms, comfy and clean feel. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely would come back here. Note: it’s a steep hill. Budget in a cab or scooters which you can rent at the reception."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Bro&Sis and even extended our visit. Overall, the location is wonderful, the aesthetic is hip and the restaurant is one of the best in the area. We especially loved the close proximity to the Port and the opportunity to stay in a room with a balcony facing the ocean. "Great place to stay. The lady who runs the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Her name is Nam (hope spelling is correct) and her english is very good which really helps with going places and booking tours. Would definitely stay here again. She booked the Diamond tour which was great. The tour took us all around the island and we made numerous stops for snorkling. It was 850 baht and was well worth the price. The even allowed us to jump off the top deck of the boat."

"We really loved this hotel! Breakfast every morning was wonderful and the family that runs the hostel is so kind and helpful. The only downside is that it is a 15 minute walk (downhill) to the beach and uphill back to the hotel. We didn’t really mind as we usually packed a day bag and only made one trip there and back each day. My one other comment would be that we were in the room right next to the road and it could get quite noisy at night/during the day with bikes going up and down the hill....

"Just left and had a great week!!! The two guys that mainly work the beach go the extra mile and are asset to the place! We were a family of 4 in one room but plenty of room and all had super comfy beds. The rooms are bright and comfortable we had our own bathroom. The restaurant serves a great selection of food and the all day a la carte breakfast was perfect! The beach is beautiful and is fab for snorkelling and swimming. My kids did their Padi open water at the dive school next door which was also very good and convenient. With out doubt the best spot on Tanote bay!!! Thank you!!! ❤️ "

The Tarna Resort, Koh Tao

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site next door. I estimate that it will be ongoing for at least another year (we stayed in April 2025). To be fair it wasn't that intrusive, but I think potential guests should know about it."
