Ao Muong Retreat

Wonderful 4 days! Quite relaxed atmosphere away from the busy town. Excellent location. Free boat taxi to and from town twice daily. Staff was outstanding! Very friendly and accommodating! Only had power from 6 pm to 6 am but this wasn't really a problem as we weren't in the room much during those hours. Losing the AC in the morning was the only problem.

Great for snorkeling

It is not convenient to get to. We have to wait for one and half hours to get transfer to the place. There are a lot of mosquito. It is quiet and good spot for snorkeling.

No lo recomiendo

Nuestra experiencia en el hotel no fue grata. Llegamos cerca de las 18.30 al puerto (ya que veniamos desde Koh Samui) y no habia nadie esperandonos para llegar al hotel (cuando el resto de los hoteles ofrecen ese servicio). Este hotel esta en la otra punta de la isla y tuvimos que costearnos el remise que nos llevara (nada barato por cierto). En el medio del camino que nos llevaba al hotel nos hicieron bajar y seguir un camino de tierra, piedras, arboles, muy inseguro y totalmente oscuro. Al llegar finalmente, estaba nuestro cuarto a medio hacer, sin sabanas y sin almohadas. Despues de quejarnos dos veces nos cambiaron a otra habitacion que parecia que era de dos personas que habian dejado el hotel ese dia, ya que las sábanas estaban sucias, etc. El hotel solo tiene luz de noche, lo que no te permite hacer mucho durante el dia. La comida que comi ahi me descompuso, entre otras cosas. Realmente no lo recomiendo. Un hotel que tiene una buena vista pero una atencion al huesped que es Mala, no sirve.

Una baia meravigliosa e tanto relax

la struttura si trova a Mango Bay, a mio avviso e a detta di molti, la location più bella di tutta l'isola, dove è possibile fare dell'ottimo snorkelling e vedere tantissima varietà di pesci e coralli. La struttura ha del grosso potenziale, direi poco sfruttato. Il panorama dalle camere sea view e dalle varie balconate è superlativo. Se si decide di soggiornare qui bisogna tener conto che Ao Muong è raggiungibile solo via mare, mettono a disposizione, in orari prestabiliti, un collegamento gratuito con il centro tramite la loro barca. La corrente elettrica è fruibile dalle 6 pm alle 6 am. Necessariamente bisogna cenare al loro ristornatino, dove cucinano discretamente. Colazione a scelta tra continentale (toast e marmellata) o americana (toast e uova). Il personale è eccezionale, cortese, sorridente e disponibile. La pulizia delle camere è molto buona. Le stanze sono piccoline e necessiterebbero di una ristrutturazione e di qualche accessorio in più (non sono presenti armadi o cassetti). Il Wi-Fi funziona perfettamente ed è gratuito. Consiglio Ao Muong a chi ha voglia di relax, di fare tanto snorkelling e a chi si adatta facilmente.
