Enjoy your morning coffee while sitting on the Lanai with a beautiful ocean view. You may see a pod of dolphins swim by, or whales breaching in the winter months. Watch the sunrise and sunset from the Makahuena point, just steps from our unit.

This beautiful 2 BR 2 BA, ocean view, second floor condo is 1150 SF, and has recently been updated in 2017 with new windows, new patio doors and new shower tiles after being totally remodeled in 2011. This unit has new tile floors throughout, and laminate wood floors in both bedrooms. The entire condo is furnished with brand new furniture.

A new gourmet kitchen with cherry cabinets, granite counters, and new appliances provide everything you need to comfortably prepare your meals. The Makahuena barbeque pavilion is right outside the condo. The living room is spacious, and includes a sleeper sofa, flat screen television with Blue Ray/DVD player. Some DVDs are provided. The large master bedroom has a beautiful king size bed with a brand new pillow top mattress. The attached bathroom has also been tastefully remodeled. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds, and gorgeous mahogany furniture. The entire unit has new wood window coverings that offer privacy.

For your use and enjoyment we have provided beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, a large ice chest, and games. 2 Pickle Ball paddles and 2 tennis racquets are also provided for your use at the Makahuena tennis/Pickle Ball court. The complex also has a pool with a hot tub with a wonderful ocean view.

The beautiful Makahuena complex is only a few minutes walk to the world renown Poipu Beach, Brennecke Beach, and the Grand Hyatt Hotel with its fine dining.

Better than expected

Exceeded our expectations. It hard to tell from the photos, but the property is like 100 yards from the ocean! We were able to watch whales, dolphins, and sea turtles from the lookout areas. There is also a trail that starts right to the left of the property that joins with the heritage trail/shipwreck beach nearby. Multiple boogie boards, umbrellas and chairs provided. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds.

The property was absolutely beautiful and well kept. The condo itself was better than even the pictures and the pictures are nice! The view of the ocean from the balcony and then walking right out front and watching the sunrise and also sunset topped it all!

Relaxation Plus

Had A wonderful time. The place lived up to everything that was listed. Great view, great location, near the beach, shopping, restaurants and yet a quiet atmosphere. Every question we had when we arrived was answered promptly. Enuf supplies and cooking stuff, bed was comfort plus. Had some issues with ceiling fans but we survived. Saw whales, dolphins and sea turtles from the lanai. Thank you for a great stay!!

Rodney was always quick to respond to my emails. He was always reassuring to my concerns. His manager Evelyn was my go -to person. The apartment was all one level and my family was very comfortable there from grandma to 4 year old.

Great Property

This is a great rental property. The unit is clean and well stocked with everything you need to be comfortable…..the place just feels like home. The location can’t be beat and it is an easy drive to get anywhere on the island. The view is spectacular, we especially love seeing the whales and viewing the sunset is popular with many people staying at this property. The pool and hot tub are a nice option and fabulous beaches are within walking distance. Turtles and Monk Seals are often on the beaches. Even though there are good restaurants nearby the condo is still in a quiet neighborhood. Beat of both worlds! Can’t wait to go back!

Spacious with a view

Wonderful property!! So spacious, stylish, and comfortable. No a/c (very typical for hawaiian homes) but it was never a problem for our family. They had multiple fans in the rooms AND effective ceiling fans. There was never any direct sun into the home which kept the home at an easy temp all day. Over all it was a great place to stay!

Hot and humid No air conditioning. Bedroom window was not functional. Loved the condo. Just needed air. Also noisy at this time due to maintenance on the building and grounds. Walkable to 2 beaches.

Spacious Condominium in Poipu

While this complex is older, the condominiums themselves appear to be kept in good condition. Our condo was spacious (2 full large bedrooms and bathrooms a very nice kitchen/dining/family room open area. Communication with property management company was excellent ... they responded quickly and in a helpful manner. One side of our toaster wasn't working right and we had a new toaster in the box at our doorstep the next morning. The grounds were very well kept and we could walk downstairs to a grassy knoll area in two minutes and watch a wide-open beautiful view of sunsets.

Wonderful Condo

We’ve been to Hawaii more than a dozen times, and this condo is definitely a find, and a value. The unit is well maintained/upgraded, and very tastefully decorated. The bed is very comfortable. The furniture and the kitchen appliances seem new. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware in good condition. Even the beach chairs and umbrella are quality. The Makahuena complex itself is a bit weathered, and pretty bare-bones, but the grounds are nicely maintained. There seems to be a mix of mainly visitors with some residents. The complex is situated on beautiful lava cliffs that the waves crash against endlessly. If you come, make sure to visit Poipu beach at sunset to watch the Green Sea Turtles haul themselves onto shore for the night.
