"Everything in this Hacienda was so amazing, of course when you are in so much nature you have to get used to bugs and everything nature brings you. Food was amazing!! Congrats to the chef! We ran into some issues of electricity in our cenote tour and they were not prepared for it; this is the only issue we ran into."

"I loved everything about this place! The staff is incredible - especially Javier and Flor. The electricity and WiFi went out due to the thunderstorms but they had a generator and I appreciated being disconnected tbh."

"El hotel en general es hermosos las habitaciones bellas el restaurante delicioso. El único detalle es que la presión de agua en la habitación 1 y 2 no era buena. O esta tapada por salitre. Fuera de eso todo bello. Ojalá pronto puedan solucionar la presión de agua en las regaderas porque la estancia ahi realmente vale mucho la pena"

"Do NOT follow Google Maps directions to this hotel if you are driving on Highway #261. Coming from Merida/Muna direction, you will find the new road/driveway to the hotel on the right, just before the Uxmal site/Hotel Hacienda Uxmal Plantation. There is a new sign noting "Hotel" This new hotel is fantastic! It starts with the drive in, through the jungle, on the new road/bike path. Watch for animals on the road. We saw many deer, iguanas and a coati. We were greeted at the front door and ushered in to check-in which was quick and pleasant The hotel is beautifully appointed. Our room (jr suite) was huge with two full bathrooms, comfortable king bed, kitchenette and large balcony. Air conditioner was quiet and worked well. Plenty of bottled water provided. Lots of hot water and good water pressure. The pool area is lovely and will be incredible once all the trees etc reach maturity. Drinks and dining were adequate. It was the low season and though we did not experience any shortage, it seemed the food may have been reheated rather than prepared fresh. We brought our own food for breakfasts All staff were very friendly and engaging. Many staff carry tablets with translating apps to overcome any language barriers. We would recommend this hotel to those with their own transportation. The hotel provides free shuttle to/from the Calkini Maya train station and the Uxmal archaeological site. We did not see a single taxi at the hotel during our 3 night stay. Wld stay again"

"Beautiful and historic property, lovely rooms and huge bathrooms. The grounds are amazing but seem 50% inactive and it was eerily empty for our visit in late January. Also, few staff speak English. Location is 30 minutes from center of Merida. Still, we loved it and recommend it. "
