"Very convenient location, super close to the MTR station and shopping malls. Staff were friendly and welcoming and there's free dispensable cold water available which was great. The room was very small but it was enough for what I needed and most importantly it was clean. Only negatives is the shower could do with a lightbulb as it was very dark and other guests can be quite loud sometimes."

"The location of hostel is convenient and easy access with bus and metro…but noisy during midnight as downstairs near to bar and even can hear the communication…no signal for TV due to external renovation "

"This is in a great location on Kowloon. It was a bit pricier than I wanted to pay for the facilities, but it worked out really well. Good location, shockingly comfortable bed, and incredibly welcoming staff!"

"I've stayed at Ashoka Hostel before. If you are a budget traveler, I can't recommend this place enough. I needed a cheap place to stay while getting my visa updated last year. So I stayed here again. I stayed during the May holiday this time, which meant the price was more than $44 a night, but it was still a bargain. If you are looking for a safe place to sleep and clean up, this is it. I didn't have a refrigerator this time, but it was okay. The rooms are super-tiny. But it didn't matter to...

"It is cheap but the situation is very poor. There were two people sleeping at the upper bed and they were not tourists but hotel workers. The upper bed has many cracks that made me worry very much that they would fall upon me. Thus, I slept only a few hours per day."

"Stayed 7 nights .Everything was excellent ,especially the buffet breakfasts.Cant beat the location for access to shops ,street food , public transport( mainly used subway) to get anywhere for tourist attractions in Kowloon,Hong Kong Island, Disneyland,Airport, night markets(walking distance to temple street markets) ect.5 stars except rooms were small and bed a bit firm but there is that much to do if you just want somewhere to sleep its perfect. Lastly price was great.Got really good deal which included the daily buffee breakfast."
"There were people smoking around the corner of the main entrance when we walked from MTR late at night even though there was a signage for no smoking."
"The breakfast had so many wonderful choices, and the food was great. The Chief Concierge Raymond Woo helped us quite a bit, pointing us in the right direction and giving us ideas for things to see and how to get there.
A nice and quite hotel, with great beds."
"The breakfast is stopped at 10:30 am and lunch started at 12 noon. I tried to caught a bus at 12:10 to airport, so there's nothings available between the hour. I went to airport early. And the AC wasn't working properly, the temperature was up and down that matched with the thermostat. "
