"我が家で過ごしているように快適に過ごせました。調味料やアメニティまで全て揃っていて、申し分なかったです。ただ、家の前の駐車スペースが狭く（軽自動車1台しか停めることが出来ない）、また前の道路も車1台分しか通れる幅しかないのでそこが不便でした。（別の駐車スペースに移動することになりました）あと、部屋の中の暖炉周りだけが汚かった。そこは掃除が不十分だと思います。それと洗濯バサミも置いて欲しい。ズボンなどをハンガーで干す時に留めるためにあると便利だと思います。部屋全体的にはとても綺麗でした。ありがとうございました。 "

"This was a beautifully authentic Japanese house in a beautiful setting. The owner is the architect and he did an amazing job with design and upkeep. When he found out we were arriving by train, he picked us up at train station and dropped off on our way out and helped us with our tickets to Tokyo. We loved our stay!!!!"

"Cannot say enough good things about this monastery. The food was top notch. So healthy and delicious. Our best meals in Japan (vegan food that will amaze you- and we are not even vegan)! The staff is so kind and welcoming. Do not miss the chanting ceremony in the morning. Loved the room with its traditional Japanese experience and garden view. Perfect location across the street from the temple complex. Don’t miss walking around it at night. Breathtakingly beautiful."

"Everything was just great! It made us feel very comfortable. It was helpful that all the staff were capable of communicating with us in English. Since people are coming to experience a true Japanese style of living, be sure to attend the morning prayer service, and the fire ritual. "Cool experience to stay in these lodgings. There is a heater in the room but the halls and bathrooms are pretty cold when it’s not warm out. The bath is amazing, so hot and relaxing. The morning prayers were very cool to experience. You do sleep on traditional futons and pillows, so if you’re picky about your pillow you might want to bring your own. The garden in the middle of the temple is beautiful as is the front garden. The check-in window is pretty small so I’d recommend working this into your trip when you’re coming from somewhere close. We came from Lake Ashi and it was very stressful trying to travel from that far away and make the check-in time. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here! "

"A very different experience for a foreigner, and one that I cherished as a student of Buddhism. If you aren’t adventurous, I don’t recommend it, and if you go, please be curious, open, and full of respect. The non-sleeping rooms will be very cold in winter, the food served is the food served, without changes available, there are rules about which slippers to wear where and what can be photographed, etc. If you’re interested in deep travel (versus hedonism), you will be gifted and changed. Otherwise, please don’t go. "
