Pool area was incredible. Really set the property above others. A bit of a walk to beach and busy area. If you didn’t want to walk cabs are available. Breakfast buffet was great. Staff very helpful. Room air conditioner was not working well. Overall a good stay.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! I REPEAT: SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THIS HORRIBLE HOTEL. This is NOT a 4 star hotel, it’s barely a 3 star! I booked a 5 day stay here based on reviews on google and Expedia and the 4 star rating. STAFF: Not helpful. I was 3 hours early for check in (due to my flight arrival time) and the check in process was disorganized and slow. My room wasn’t ready for an hour past start time. ROOMS: DIRTY! EXTREMELY UNHYGIENIC. I was immediately disgusted by the state of the room as I walked in. Staff does NOT clean the rooms or change the sheets. The first room I was put in (“Premium Swim Out”) still had HAIR IN THE BATHTUB & SHOWER. Rooms are unpainted. Writing on furniture and walls. Cracks on walls. Bathroom fixtures rusted and dirty. I immediately called Expedia and went to the front desk and the staff was unwilling to help! The staff moved me to a “newer room” with dirty bedsheets and a dirty shower. Again, old rooms, old fixtures, nothing like the photos posted online. 3 days and the staff never changed the sheets or cleaned the bathroom. They put water and “new towels” (Some of which had stains; the towels shed) and say that they’ve cleaned your room. FOOD: not good. Considering a great meal directly outside the resort will cost you about $5 CAD the included breakfast here is horrible. I bought breakfast every morning. The outside aesthetic of the hotel is the only nice thing about this place- it’s extremely deceiving.

Beware!! Alert!!! We booked the Hula Hula resort from expedia and we got the room as per choice and confirmation mail and everything but when we reached they said they are overbooked and now they can give some other hotel option which was not that good also cost wise lower then what we paid. So we asked for refund and they said they will return only partial amount and deduct service tax and other charges that too without using a single service they didn’t even offered water. We contacted expedia as well but nothing happened and while transferring refund they again deducted some heavy charges bcoz we didn’t had account in the bank which they asked for. So without using any facility or services or room we almost paid 150 SGD to them as we booked 2 rooms for 3 days. Like this they might cheat u as well so please beware before booking.

I would stay here again. We had a pool access room which was a good choice with your own sun beds. The room was very big and we loved the large bed. Breakfast was ok but nothing changed throughout our 10 day stay. It was about a 10 minute walk to Aonang beach and the main area for restaurants, which was fine for us. The hotel does provide a shuttle service to the beach and return journeys which we used a couple of times. The swimming pool was very nice and the hotel provided towels each day. The staff were polite and friendly. The rooms could do with redecoration and we did not like the pebble floor within the shower. Nice having a bath in the room though. Hot and cold water was fine and so was the air conditioning. A fridge and kettle were in the room along with a safe and hairdryer👍. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Hula Hula and loved Krabi and the lovely weather.

5 nights at Hula Hula Resort
We loved our stay here in this hotel. We had a room with pool entry on the ground floor which I loved for 5nights. The room itself was large with lots of room for Hanging clothes etc. The bathroom was a good size and so used the bath in our room too. People have mentioned cosmetically it needs paint work here and there and some furniture has had wear and tear but it doesn’t spoil the room or holiday for me. The breakfast was super...lots of choice and always plenty. I loved the waffles but eat them hot. My hubby enjoyed the omelettes everyday too. We didn’t use room service as we ate out all the time at night. We did use the 7-11 opposite for drinks for the fridge. I would spend the extra on the pool room again!

Hula Hula's staff was very friendly, but their English is limited. The pool is nice and is under the shadows, which we appreciated given how hot it is. The room was okay, but the bed wasn't comfy. It wasn't a King bed, it was two single beds pushed together. Location isn't great, but they offer a free shuttle to the beach every hour. We didn't enjoy the beach as it isn't a nice one. The most negative element was the restaurant; food is not good at all, we didn't even eat the free breakfast given how poor the quality is. Instead, we used Foodpanda app for deliveries, or went out to eat elsewhere in Ao Nang.

The receptionist staff at Hula Hula were exceptional. Breakfast food can be improved. The 711 convenient store is directly opposite. Book all our daily excursions via the hotel and are great offers too - hassle free.

The staff were fantastic. Always friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome, would ask about our days and provide great knowledge and recommendations. The rooms were really nice and clean and the pool area was immaculate. The only downside was the beds which were very hard, and the showers and baths which never had hot water and were only slightly warm.

The hotel does look exactly like in the photos. However, I was disappointed by the service and the cleanliness of the place. Simple things like no more shampoo in the shampoo dispenser, they did not fix it even after informing them several times. Doubt I will go back again

The property was beautiful. Full of trees and plants. The pool was a great place to relax, with plenty of shade and a swim-up bar. The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We spent 2 weeks there and all the employees made us feel really welcome. The hotel was very clean and the location was convenient. Its a 10-15 minute walk to the beach bu the hotel runs shuttles throughout the day. We will definitely return.

Great base for further exploration
Hula Hula is a lovely, if basic, hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay using Ao Nang as a base from which we explored the islands in the surrounding area (which is remarkably easy to do). The staff were fantastic, the rooms were clean and well-kept and the food was enjoyable as well.

the resort has a unique design of combination between jungle and tropical feeling. we really enjoyed our stay there. it was clean, the staff were helpful. defiantly coming back to Hula Hula resort.

Free shuttle to and from ao nang beach where shops and eateries are located. A walk to the beach, shops and eateries is between 15mins (fast walk )to 25mins (slow walk)

I love Krabi
The hotel was fantastic. I would definitely stay again if I make it back down to Krabi. The hotel was clean, the staff was great, breakfast was wonderful. The weather was not the best but there was still fun to be had.

This hotel needs a facelift big time and work on the plumbing and more than five transfers to the beach a day...probably the most disappointing place we stayed in a month in Thailand. Walls in the room are all marked with black smudges, the furniture has discolouration stains, and there was really no hot water even after discussing with the property nothing was really done to fix the issue. Location was ok - easy kilometre to and from town.

Great place
Everyone was very helpfull and helped my wife and I organize a tour and a transfer to another island very easily. They have a shuttle service that runs from town and the only thing I could ask if tbey could close the pool a little later.

Great place to spend a vacation
Hula Hula resort was a fantastic place to spend a romantic getaway.It was a very cozy resort with friendly staff, great breakfast, beautiful room and clean pool with a bar. Highly recommended for any family
