We had a lovely stay at Old Town Hostel Kranj. It’s a beautifully designed hostel, with each room thoughtfully giving a nod to the local region. Our room was spotlessly clean, modern, bright and had everything we needed. The bathroom was excellent, with a fantastic powerful shower. Communication with the owner was brilliant. We arrived with our three teenagers after a long journey, and as our room was ready, they kindly let us check in early, which we really appreciated. The whole team were incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The tea/coffee and snack machine in reception was also a handy touch. The location is fantastic right in the middle of the old town, with bakeries, restaurants and bars all just steps away. The bus and train stations are also within easy walking distance. We also visited the WWII tunnels, which were fantastic, and the air-raid simulator was a real highlight for the kids. Definitely worth doing if you’re travelling with children who are interested in history. We would absolutely stay here again. A lovely hostel, great people, fantastic location and excellent value. Highly recommended
