This moderate hotel was a good value for the price, especially the huge 2-double bed room. It had the expected amenities: AC, fridge, big bathroom, big open air dining area (much more agreeable in the daytime) and booking service for on-going travel (minivans to Doh Det in Laos. The only thing I didn’t like was the location, a tuk-tuk ride or hot walk from the older French colonial part of the city on the Mekong River.

Pleasant stay
With the expectation that you're staying in rural Cambodia this place hits all the marks- big room, working air con, hot powerful shower, clean, working toilet, adequately comfortable bed, good value for money. Very lovely and helpful staff who speak English. It's a bit of a walk into the main part of town where the bus drops you off and main restaurants and amenities are. Tuk tuks aren't plentiful so be prepared to walk which we didn't mind. It's a little run down and could use some renovations but overall a good stay.

Rooms are not cleaned daily
I stayed there for 2 nights. The rooms were not cleaned at all. Has to ask them for soap, towels, etc.

Cheap but small room with no windows
Staff very friendly but room quite rundown and small without windows. Did have air con which was good. Difficult location to find down a dark alley. Well away from centre. But I suppose for $20 / night it's OK for a night.

Free tuk tuk to town. Staff friendly, food good. Clean rooms, staff clean rooms daily. Our room had no windows. Ask for room with window. Was busy there. Referred us to good restaurants.

Super helpful staff. Friendly without being patronising May be a bit too far out of town for some ppl although they provide a tuk tuk into town. A great place, highly reccommended

Good Value Stay in Kratie
Enjoyable staying at this hotel as was good value with good restaurant which gives 15 discount to clients, Happy hour, relaxing pool and helpful staff to arrange tours. Bit out on fringe of town but with free tuk tuk service that was not a problem. Room was fine for the price. Would stay again.

The hotel was great, we knew it was out of town but they had tuk tuks to take you in and it was only a couple of $ to get back. The wait staff, cleaning staff and drivers were great and really friendly. The guy on reception was a bit off in his manner. We booked the bus to Siem Riep with him and we didn't get what was promised! They were supposed to drop us at our hotel but were dropped a few kms from town as 'he didn't go any further, the aircon didn't work properly and we seemed to stop at every village for a delivery. On the plus side it only arrived 15 mins aftwr promised.

If you need a pool
Everything it promises is delivered, but with a few rough edges. It's about 2km from town on a dusty back block, but as others have said there is a free tuk tuk. Used their transport service to the dolphins and for a taxi to Phnom Penh, all good and fairly priced. There is a pool which I used without any problems but i think it could be cleaner. Staff all friendly and helpful. It's OK but if a pool isn't important you can probably get better value along the riverside.

An okay stay, good value for money and whilst there is no getting away from the fact that it is quite a way out of town, the free Tuk Tuk service worked really well. Recommend getting bus tickets from the hotel as opposed to in town as cheaper and on time (we went for the latter and got overcharged and left 90 minutes later than planned!). WiFi rarely worked in rooms, only in reception areas.

Fair way out but free transport in & out of town
Didn't find the desk staff that helpful. Little information about any activities in the area. The hotel was rather tired, the cafe was ok and beside the pool, so quite nice area to sit in. Room was fairly expensive for what we got.

Perfect accommodation for dolphin watching
Great stay, large comfortable rooms with good bathroom. Helpful staff who arranged our dolphin watching and ongoing travel. 15% discount in the restaurant for hotel guests. Nice food and cocktails. Great value for money.

Clean hotel with a pool
Nice staff. Has a nice little pool with loungers, a restaurant, bar and free tuktuk to bring you into town which is nice as the location is a bit isolated. Downsides: not on the river front or in town, so random location. Our AC was too weak to actually cool down our room so it was really hot at night.

We found this to be an oasis, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our grand daughters loved the pool and we loved the pool area for relaxing while we watched them. We would recommend to anyone.

Comfortable base on the Mekong
Very friendly and efficient staff helped to arrange our upriver trip to see the Dolphins. Rooms were spacious but a little tired but the restaurant, which we ate in over our 4 days as the hotel is on the edge of town, is very good and very popular. It has the only swimming pool in town ( very much appreciated) and provides a free tuck- tuck service into town for guests.

Great place to stay in Kratie
I stayed here for three nights and had a great stay. They picked me up with a tuk tuk from the bus station and brought me to the hotel. It is located little distance away from the city center but they have free tuk tuk service there. The check in and out was fast and easy. The room was very clean, had good hot water, strong wifi, comfortable bed and a balcony. The staff are friendly and always said hi and greeted me. The pool is clean and very relaxing. I ate at their restaurant and found the value and food to be excellent. They also rent motorbikes. If you want a great stay and value in Kratie, this is the place.

A bit over-priced for what it was.
A one night layover so didn't get a chance to use all the facilities but... Nice comfortable bed (shame I found myself sharing it with dozens of ants), good quality and reasonably priced food from the restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive, and all spoke at least a little English.

Average hotel but good for the area. Receptionist was helpful but brisk and short with us. Restaurant was very good and pool was a bonus but not the cleanest. The price is good for what you get.

Great hotel, a short drive from the town but this isn't a issue as the hotel provides a free tuk tuk. Very helpful and friendly staff helped us to arrange pick up, tours and onward travel. Nice food also.

Beautiful room with a balcony over looking the pool. Friendly staff and away from the main strip. Free Tuk Tuk pick ups and drop offs for the bus. A great place to relax!

A great place to stay
A great hotel wish I could have extended my stay. Friendly great staff, a place for relaxation, the food is good and reasonably priced. Having stayed in a number of more expensive hotels in Cambodia this is the best of the bunch so far. If you fancy a visit to Kratie to see the dolphins and want to experience a great hotel at a reasonable price give it a try. Other reviews cover the other points.

Only hotel in town with a pool
This is a newly opened hotel on the outskirts of Kratie. They provide a free tuk tuk service to and from Kratie making it an easy place to be. Its advantage is that it has a pool although the small pool area is unfinished (muddy loose tiles). There is also a basic but perfectly good gym in the basement (aircon control and towels from reception). Its boiling down in the gym so set the air con before you go in! Room was large and comfortable with good decor. Towels not always washed or dried well, so a few times they were just plain smelly. Staff, friendly and hospitable. Their curiousity towards us Westerners is evident. More attention to detail would be good, e.g. If your website advertises slippers/nice toiletries jn rooms, then provide them. All hotels have noise. This one: it's in a small village settlement, therefore dogs, birds etc and of course everyone gets up very early to work. We woke at 5.30 most mornings and went to bed early. Lastly, maybe not so cool to have lots of staff hanging about doing very little and/or watching people by pool area. It tends to make women fee, uncomfortable. However, overall, don't be put off. It is a lovely hotel in the making
