Deichbrise - Deichbrise Vacation Home: A Relaxing Family Vacation in Greetsiel with

Our Frisian cottage, Deichbrise, is located on a quiet cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Greetsiel, right on the dike. With just under 100 square metres of living space, it can accommodate up to 6 people. Via the nearby footbridge, you can reach the dike and, from there, the picturesque harbour and town centre, as well as the twin windmills, in just a few minutes. In the other direction, you’ll find a large nature reserve with many species of birds—perfect for relaxation and recreation—as well as the yellow-and-red Pilsum Lighthouse.

On the ground floor is the large living-dining area with
- a seating set, dining room, and wood-burning stove
- a collection of board games, satellite TV, and a Wi-Fi router

; as well as an open, modern kitchen featuring, among other things,
- an oven and dishwasher
- filter, Senseo, and Nespresso coffee makers

; also ground-level with no stairs
- one bedroom for 2 people
- one bathroom with a washing machine and dryer

. The ground floor of the house is fully tiled with underfloor heating.

The upper floor houses the sleeping area with
- two additional bedrooms, each sleeping 2 people, with space for a cot if needed, as well as
- another bathroom

The flooring on the upper floor was completely replaced in 2016 with modern laminate.

In the garden, bordered by a stream
- you’ll find a furnished patio
- and a beach chair for relaxing
- with an unobstructed view of the fields and the dike

. The house is fully equipped with fly screens. A cot and high chair are available free of charge. The Wi-Fi password will be provided in the house upon arrival; however, technical availability and DSL-16 speed cannot be guaranteed. The house is a smoke-free property.

One pet (dog) is allowed by arrangement. The garden is fenced in.

The accommodation “Am Deich” and “Deichkieker” are located in the immediate vicinity and are also available for rent through us.

The tranquil shrimp-fishing village of Greetsiel, with its twin windmills and the fishbone as its symbol, exudes rustic East Frisian charm. The town centre by the harbour features historic building facades and picturesque alleyways dating back to the 17th century. There, you’ll also find a wide selection of restaurants and shops that invite you to linger. Here you can watch the fishermen go about their daily work, stroll through the car-free streets, and visit numerous museums and attractions.
