Die Häuser sind renoviert, ebenso die Zimmer. Alles war sauber. Das Zimmer war aber sehr klein. Das Frühstück war gut auch wenn die Auswahl nicht so gross war. Rühreier wurden frisch zubereitet. Das Personal war freundlich. Ein Nachteil ist, dass man erst ab 17 Uhr einchecken darf. Zudem gab es weder im Hotel noch in der näheren Umgebung ein Restaurant das geöffnet war. Man muss sich vorher verpflegen oder etwas mitbringen. Anzumerken ist auch, dass auf dem Foto nicht das Hotel sondern das gegenüberliegende Haus gezeigt wird.

Das Zimmer ist praktisch nicht zu lüften. Das ohnehin kleine Fenster läßt sich nur teilweise öffnen. Direkt neben dem Fenster (ca. 60 cm) verläuft die Straße, auf der auch viele riesige Erntefahrzeuge vorbeidonnern. Man kann weder tagsüber noch nachts das Fenster öffnen. Bei den hohen Außentemperaturen in der letzten Juliwoche hatten wir im Zimmer stickige 28-30° C. Es gibt weder eine Lüftung noch eine Klimaanlage. Die Matratzen sind eine Katastrophe. Auf einer wohl alten Matratze (?) liegt ein Matratzentopper, der absolut weich ist und tiefe Einsenkungen hinterläßt. Das Zimmer ist eng, einzig der Bildschirm ist groß, leider aber so groß, daß man sich beim Zugang zum Schrank durchducken muß. Platz für einen zweiten Hocker gibt es nicht. Das Bad ist soweit modern und in Ordnung, allerdings gibt es keine Ablage, das Frühstück war ok. Unser Fazit: nie wieder, zumindest nicht im Sommer.

Property was difficult to locate. If Expedia hadn’t had a photo of the exterior of the hotel, we would not have been able to find it—there is no sign on the buildings with the name of the hotel. The room was TINY, probably @96 SF, and the room is advertised as 204 SF. The clearance at the foot of the bed is about 18” from the wall, and the wall mounted TV projects about 6”, which leaves about 12” of space to walk around the bed. It’s impossible to walk around the bed unless you lean your head away from the wall. Not sure about fire codes in Germany, but this is a major violation in the US. We were truly worried that we would bang our heads into the TV if we had to get up at night and walk around the foot of the bed to get to the bathroom. We spoke to the receptionist and asked to move to a larger room, and she rolled her eyes and said that there aren’t any larger rooms, that she gets complaints all the time from people who see what’s advertised on Expedia, and are expecting a larger room with a desk and chair (which it’s what’s shown in the room photo on Expedia), and that she keeps asking the owners to change the description so it reflects accurate information—but so far, the owner hasn’t made any changes. We had no choice but to stay in the room, and we couldn’t wait to get out of there the following day. We stayed in 24 hotels in 35 days/nights in Europe, and this was the worst hotel experience we had.
