The property was very clean. The breakfast was tasty and well presented. Even though the water in the room was not hot, I would reccomend this hotel to other solo travelers.

Spacious, clean, and comfortable

The room was so clean and comfortable! It was warm but the front desk allowed us to borrow fans. It was very spacious. Breakfast was a really great spread. The hotel is very close to town, no more than a 15 minute walk. The only problem I had was I had to have cash to get water and didn’t bring any so I had to run to the store to get water with my card. But other than that it was perfect. It was very accommodating for our dog as well!

The stay was excellent and breakfast plentiful and enjoyable It is a short 20 minutes walk into town which is just as well because in the heat or rain it is all but impossible to order a taxi even though the hotel staff tried their best. The only criticism of the hotel is that although I did not want my sheets changed daily, I would have at least wanted the bed made each day.

Nice an quiet, in walking distance from the centre of the old town with its restaurants and well preserved buildings. Kind and helpful staff.

good hotel

Good and well-operated hotel. I would stay there again. Only small things to note were a) my room was a bit dark and b) the food options at breakfast were a bit limited and especially when arrive rather late, then many items could be out, e.g. the fruit juices or vegetables.

A basic transit hotel, value for money is good and its cheap so dont expect too much. Budget wise I would book again.

The room is kind of old but the breakfast included is nice. There was mistake that I can't get the family room which I reserved when I check in at the hotel. Over all is a good place to stay a night.

Very nice hotel

We booked a room for 3 adults and 1 dog. The check-in was very easy, and staff were easy to talk to. Our dog had his own bed, which was a very nice touch. The room was huge, with comfy beds and plenty of windows. Next door is a little park that we walked around in. Tasty breakfast. Checking out was also very easy. Only had to wait a few minutes.

Kulmbach Comfort

I have stayed at this hotels many times now, as Astron, Achat or now Taste. It is perfectly placed for the town of Kulmbach, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast is excellent. However, the hotel is showing signs of age and what used to be a 4* hot3el is looking more like a "lower-end" chain overnighter. The heart seems to have gone out of it!

Internet war nicht ganz stabil,vor allem am Abend. Abends keine Möglichkeit einen Kaffee oder Tee zu bekommen. Kein Wasserkocher im Zimmer, auch kein Kühlschrank oder Minibar. Zimmer zweckgerichtet, sauber. Eine Flasche Wasser als Begrüßung war auf dem Tisch. Es gibt keine Bar im Hotel. Frühstück war in Ordnung. Senmel und sonstiges Gebäck aufgebacken.

Das Zimmer sehr schön und sauber. Das Frühstück war okay aber auch nichts besonderes. Man kann aber auch nichts anderes erwarten bei dem günstigen Preis. Was uns gestört hat,dass Hunde in den Zimmern waren.

Das Zimmer war sauber und zweckmäßig. Ein wenig muffiger Geruch. Das Kopfkissen sollte gereinigt bzw. komplett gewechselt werden. Die Handtuchstangen sind wesentlich zu hoch angebracht. Da muss man eine Wurftechnik entwickeln, ein Handtuch aufzuhängen. Zumindest mit einer Körpergröße von 1,60 cm. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Parkplätze stehen direkt vor dem Hotel genügend kostenlos zur Verfügung

Grundsätzlich waren wir mit dem Aufenthalt zufrieden. Die Vielfalt am Frühstücksbuffet könnte jedoch größer sein. Die Esstische wirken ohne Tischdecke und Deko lediglich funktionell. Die Ausweichräume gleichen eher einer Kantine, als einem Frühstücksrestaurant.

Das Hotel selbst liegt ruhig an einem Park. Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten, großer Parkplatz zusätzlich hinter dem Haus. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und für eine Übernachtungin Ordnung, sofern man nicht zwingend duschen muss. Das Hotelzimmer ist groß, hat einen großen Flachbildschirm und die Möbel sind sehr neu, modern und das Bett ist bequem. Frühstück ist vollkommen in Ordnung und ausreichend. Nun meine negativen Punkte: Was mich sehr störte, ist der Zustand vom Bad. Die Dusche weist schimmlige (schwarz) und verdreckte (braune) Fugen auf. Hier müssten die Fugen entweder einmal richtig geschruppt bzw. gereinigt werden, wenn sogar einmal neu verfugt werden. Ich konnte mich nicht überwinden zu duschen. Ich würde es so keinem Gast anbieten wollen. Der Rest vom Bad ist ausreichend sauber, das Wasser im Waschbecken läuft sehr langsam ab und aus dem Abfluss im Bad muffelt es. Das Bad ist in die Jahre gekommen. Ich muss ehrlich gestehen, dass ich vorerst hier nicht noch einmal übernachten werde.

Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und der Check in hat reibungslos geklappt. Ein Pluspunkt ist der große Parkplatz direkt am Hotel. Das Frühstücksbüffet war für diese Preisklasse sehr gut bestückt. Leider ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen und müsste unbedingt an einigen Stellen renoviert werden, angefangen von der fehlenden Klimaanlage bis zum Badezimmer. Unangenehm war auch der Geruch in unserem Zimmer, der selbst bei geöffnetem Fenster nicht verschwand.
