Pelican's Perch - Ocean Views! Beach is Right Across the Street!

If you're looking for a centrally-located house with abundant ocean views and easy beach access that's not far from anything on Pleasure Island, then look no further. Pelican's Perch's 2nd row center island location is just 1/4 mile from the Kure Beach and Carolina Beach line. You can walk diagonally across the street to our community's private beach access with gazebo, or ride a bike to any location on the island. Our main living area is on the top floor which gives awesome views of the ocean and also the colorful homes in the neighborhood. Ample decks outside the 2nd floor bedrooms and the upper floor living area give the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, enjoy the ocean view with a good book in hand, or just enjoy each other's company with the nice view and ocean breeze. The entire ground floor deck with an outdoor shower is surrounded by lattice for privacy. It's hidden from view and offers some shielding from the morning sun, but you can still see out and feel the ocean breeze. The garage area contains various bikes and beach supplies to help make your stay more fun. A ping pong table and a video game system will provide some indoor fun on rainy days or when you've had enough sun for the day. When the day is done, then sleep in comfort in the nicely-decorated 4 bedrooms equipped with queen beds, dreaming about what the next day on the island will bring.
Pelican's Perch isn't just a rental - It's our second home, and we're continually improving it so that it will be the best it can be. We love this home's 2nd row location and beautiful ocean views, and it is situated so conveniently to all points on the island. We believe Pelican's Perch is one of the best second row homes on the island, and we hope that you will enjoy staying there as much as we do.
Please read the following important information before booking a stay in Pelican's Perch:
There is a 3 day minimum stay with no specific required day of check-in or check-out during most of the year except for the summer high rental season. During that time there is a 7 day minimum stay running from Saturday to Saturday. When booking, feel free to send us a message including any questions that would be relevant to your group's needs. If you're planning to bring a furry friend, then we are dog-friendly. We allow up to two small and well-behaved dogs, up to 25 lbs each. Dogs are the only pets we allow and each dog must be approved by us prior to your arrival. No dogs over 25 lbs, cats, or other animals will be allowed.
Also remember that Pelican's Perch is a non-smoking house both inside and outside on any of the decks.

Fabulous Home!

Gary and Tracy’s home is absolutely beautiful and very well appointed. Our family, including our 2 and 5-year-old grandkids, enjoyed the space, beach toys, and being right across the street from a gorgeous stretch of beach! The home was absolutely spotless, and Barbara, the property manager, sent us great tips and information which made our stay super comfortable. We’d definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay!!

Spacious and well stocked with your initial basic supplies. Check in and out a breeze thanks to the property manager Barb. Be aware that the entertainment and living area is on the top floor so you will get your exercise climbing stairs. Could be a limitation to those of us with knee issues. Would have been nice to have an awning or some manner of shade on the top deck in order to enjoy the great ocean view in the morning thanks to a vacant lot directly across the street. Great place to enjoy the Carolina coast with friends and family. We will definitely be back!

Girls Trip-Just the Daughters and Me

WOW is all I can say about this home! We fell in love with this place the moment we walked in! We have stayed at many many beach houses and none have been ones we have ever wanted to return to, but this HOME (not house) is the one that we will always check first from now on ! FABULOUS lay out, comfortable sofas, comfortable beds, fantastic deck furniture and beach chairs as well! We really only needed to bring clothes and beach towels, everything else was there for us! Beach access right across the street, not to mention there is an empty lot directly in front of the house so you can see the ocean from both decks, so it’s like being oceanfront…Barbara the property manager is a sweetheart, she was on top of everything- hope to see her again when we return…don’t look any further, this is the place you want to rent, trust me!

Great family beach week!

Wonderful beach trip!

We had a wonderful stay! The ocean view is great, you can sit on the deck and watch the sun rise over the ocean. The beach access is a very short walk across the street. The owner is very prompt and helpful with communication, and really went above and beyond! Barbara was also great and let us know about local events going on. The house is clean and spacious and provided a great environment for our family to make memories on vacation. This our second time staying here, and we have had wonderful experiences both times!

Great house and location

This is our 2nd stay at Pelican Perch and we love it! The location is perfect, right across the street from the private beach access and far enough between Carolina Beach and the pier that it’s not to crowded on the beach. Gary and Tracy provide everything you need for a great stay from a well stocked kitchen to all the beach chairs and accessories you need. All you need to bring are your clothes and beach towels! Barbara is a great property manager and is so quick to respond to any questions that you may have. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us.

Wonderful family home!

We had a great time in this home at Kure Beach! The top floor living area is nice with the views, and we enjoyed July 4 fireworks from the deck. The house was very clean, as advertised, and had plenty of games, smart TVs, beach toys and chairs, etc that we all enjoyed. Beach access was easy across the street. There was an issue when the key didn’t work in the access gate (it was an issue with the gate) that seemed to get resolved very quickly. The area of the beach was quiet enough for us to have our own little spot and wasn’t too crowded. Overall, a wonderful family vacation!

Great location and stay

My family of 3 really enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay. The property is 100% as described. Great location, awesome communication from the owners and all around a great value. We particularly enjoyed the top deck ocean views and proximity to the beach. We cooked several meals and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. My only suggestion is to have the carpets either deep cleaned or replaced; especially on the stairways. Other than that, we would definitely recommend this property to others. Thank you!
