There is a 24-hour convenience store and coin laundry opposite the hotel, both well within a minute walk. The washer and dryer are well maintained and clean by the owner of the laundromat. Hotel is nicely located, walking distance to transport and downtown Gion.

Best Stay Ever

Our stay was amazing! Gion Misen Furumonzen was a great introduction to Kyoto. The location is a hidden gem while conveniently located across the street from a Lawson convenience store. The little bar was a sweet addition to the experience. This was by far the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in (in the world). The staff were considerate and helpful. We loved it so much, we booked an extra night. 10/10 recommend this hotel.

The perfect location! A short walk to some amazing restaurants and attractions, whilst still being in a very quiet street. Staff were great, hotel was cozy and quiet, more traditional bedding lower to the floor so just be mindful if you have back issues. Cosy and convenient hotel with friendly staff

It’s a cosy hotel to stay in Kyoto which is near to Yasaka Shrine, Nishiki Market, shopping areas and train stations. Staff are friendly and speak good English. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Kyoto.
