Kyoto Kamanza Hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. It's in a really convenient location—close to restaurants, convenience stores, and public transport. There's even Nijo castle in walking distance, which is a nice bonus. It’s a cozy, boutique-style hotel that’s perfect if you want a quiet, comfortable spot while exploring Kyoto.

Fairly new hotel with spacious rooms in a very quiet residential area yet close to Nijo Castle. Bus stops and a metro station were within easy walking distance. There are also a grocery store, a 7/11 and a bakery nearby so we bought everything for breakfast there. There is a small fridge in the room which is very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel.

Late check in was very easy through a lock box system. You just have to request this service ahead of time as the front desk staff leaves at 8pm. That being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very safe location and quite walkable to most places. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Amazing Gem!

Lovely quiet hotel close to Nijo Castle (4 blocks) and 20 mins walk from Nishiki Market; great location. Minimal staff and more self service but that makes for an unbeatable price for the quality of room. The room is huge, full size king bed, bathtub and closet. Has a beautiful combination of traditional and modern design touches like Japanese screens and dimmable mood lighting in the headboard. 24/7 locked lobby entrance for extra security too. Would absolutely recommend!

The room was beautiful and the location near a subway station was helpful. The hotel staff did not clean the room, but that was fine with us. Extra towels and supplies were readily available. A few of the staff members knew very little English and so we used a translation app to communicate. Highly recommended.

This was the best hotel we stayed at during the entire trip! The gentleman at the front desk was the kindest and most helpful gentleman. He helped me so much! Everything about the hotel was awesome! Our room was big and super clean! We had everything we needed in the room and there are other amenities outside the room and in the lobby. The location was perfect, away from the business of the main streets but close enough to walk to everything. We loved staying here and wished our other hotels were this nice! I definitely will book here again when I return to Kyoto in the future!
