The room was so spacious and we really appreciated having a full table and kitchen to have dinner after a full day of sightseeing. The bathroom was also very clean and roomy. It was nice to have two sinks for the family to use as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Very spacious compared to Tokyo hotels. Extra space to lay out luggage and walk around was good for family of 4. Caters to Asian and Western visitors. Did not have signs or mat that told visitors to remove shoes, so not sure if all guests removed shoes while in room.

Always an excellent stay at Mimaru Kyoto kawaramachi gojo. My second time visiting and I would choose it again. Helpful staff that speak English and they try to help you with everything including reservations, transportation, lending needed things, etc. Just ask. Great at arranging luggage shipping and storing. Great room layout, so spacious and adequate in every sense, comfortable beds. Feels like home.

After our shoebox adventure in Hiroshima, this apartment felt like a slice of paradise! It was so spacious and clean, definitely a dream come true for a family of four. The two toilets? Absolute lifesavers! We stayed for two nights and then we ventured into the Pokémon-themed room for a night of fun. Let me tell you, that main room was almost double the size of the Pokémon room, which was a delightful surprise. Honestly, I wouldn’t fault a single thing about our stay. It was just perfect! A great central location in the Kyoto area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the children’s play room, entertainment room, and rooftop. A nice, comfortable stay with good size rooms for our family of four.

Terrific hotel. The kitchen was awesome and allowed us to have breakfast in our suite every morning. Service was excellent. Laundry machines convenient and three minute walk from a subway station across the bridge. Did i mention there is a supermarket across the street?

If you’re looking for a fun-filled adventure for your little Pokémon trainer, look no further! We recently stayed at a Pokémon-themed haven that was simply a dream come true. Imagine our wide-eyed son’s reaction as he walked into a room absolutely plastered with Pokémon décor, featuring a gigantic Snorlax on the bed! His excitement was through the roof, and honestly, mine too! Every corner of the space was alive with Pokémon magic, including a bathroom that carried the theme beautifully. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a one-of-a-kind Mimaru Pokémon pack, adding an extra layer of whimsy to our stay. Even the plates and mugs were designed to look like Poké Balls, talk about ‘Gotta Catch Them All’ vibes! The only minor downside was that we could hear the traffic noise quite a bit, but that didn’t dampen our spirits. If you’re a Pokémon fan, this spot is absolutely perfect for your family. Just a heads up, it’s best suited for a family of four. Overall, our stay was filled with laughter and joy, making it a memorable experience for Pokémon enthusiasts! On Christmas Day!

This was our nicest accommodation of our Japan trip and really suited our family of 6. Loved the location, gym and amenities. Staff were fantastic and great location with only a15 minute walk to the centre of town but close to subway stations and supermarket.

We stayed here for two nights as a family and found it to be a clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient location. It’s about a 30-minute walk to Kyoto Station, and most major attractions are easily reachable by foot or a short train ride. The room size was great for a family, and everything was spotless. The staff were polite and professional. One small challenge we experienced was on the day of checkout. We asked to store our luggage a bit longer so we could explore the city before leaving, but the hotel wasn’t able to accommodate this beyond 1 PM due to an incoming group. While I understand space can be limited, it did make things a bit less convenient for us. Overall, it’s a clean, comfortable, and well-located hotel — a good option for families visiting Kyoto.

We thought it would be closer to the attractions and sights. Staff were less than helpful when checking out and needing transport for luggage...we had to organise ourselves. Not very willing to give extra pillows upon arrival and generally not very helpful. The room was a great size for 4, 2 seperate bedrooms, 2 toilets and lounge but we would prefer to be closer to main attractions/shops
