Very convenient location for transportation options. Japanese style room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a solid range of options but might not be good value for vegetarian guests. Free drinks in the lobby is a nice addition!

Nice simple and easy

Good room, clean, good amenities. Only downside was there was 1 lift for the whole hotel so spent lots of time waiting around for it. But the location was great and check in and luggage store was easy.

Good location and value

Good location and right next to a train station. Many good restaurants nearby. Room was quite cozy, especially the bathroom. Clean, provided fresh towels daily. If you booked to include breakfast, it's quite ample. Amenities (toothbrush, sleeping gown, slippers, etc) provided. Would probably stay again. Staff was excellent.

Fantastic breakfast service for only 1000 yen that was better than many restaurants we went to Only thing that bothered me was that there is only one very cramped elevator so you are often crammed inside of it or waiting for a while before it clears up. Fine location only 15 min waking from Kyoto main station and very close to Gojo station taking us to other places in Kyoto with ease. The room was nothing special, seemed kind of standard for Japan. However, we had hoped for a little bit more modern facilities in our room and for the level of cleanliness of especially the bedding to be better. Staff was nice

Room was a bit smaller than I expected, but that might have been my mistake in booking the wrong type. Very convenient location (right next to Gojo Station Exit 8). All the staff were are very nice and helpful. Coin laundry is on same floor as the reception so it was a little awkward to have to walk past the front desk each time. There is also only elevator so it's a bit inconvenient to use. But overall, it was a pretty nice hotel.

Three-night stay in Gojo

Stayed for three nights. Staff are helpful and cheerful. The hotel is at Gojo, a bit far away from the hustling city centre, good for those who are looking for a quiet environment. Right next to the exit of Gojo metro station, convenient. Cleanliness requires improvement as some small insects are found in the room during our stay. Room is less spacious than expected. I was unable to fully open my luggage. Simple buffet breakfast provided, but if you visit the restaurant after 8:30am, not much food is left. Also used the coin laundry machine & drying machine. There were only two set of machines so you’ll have to wait for your turn.

bathroom hard to get into

Hotel was good, great location next to station, staff were excellent. The room I had bathroom was awkward impossible to get in and out of bathroom without twisting legs and knees. I stayed in hotels of all levels all over Japan. I never had any had a design like this. The size of bathroom small, that did not matter and can be normal in Japan. It was the toilet on an angle in front of the door open and make it impossible to get into the bathroom. I stayed in placew where bathroom is same size and smaller but they all be able to get in easily. Annoying thing is I was there 10 nights so make it super hard. I booked 2 moths out and paid double price, it not worth double price. At normal price it a good place.

Amazing location, only 1 station from Kyoto station whereas the station entrance is literally next door to the hotel. Surrounded by restaurants and conbinis a stones throw away. The service from the various staff at the hotel was also top tier. The breakfast was nothing special, has your typical Japanese items. The room itself was spacious for what I paid for and clean. Also had a few interesting quirks like a desk, an ethernet plug + cord, a printer of sorts, and a flashlight attached to the bed frame. What bothered me slightly was the fact that the door was maybe an inch off the ground, i.e. the sound and light from the corridor easily leaked in and I could imagine that it would also leak out quite easily. Additionally, the room window was immediately pointed at the next building a little over a meter away, not much to look at really. Might have been just my room that was the closest to the elevator but these are the main reason for why I could not give 5 stars. Other than that I had quite a pleasant stay.
