Wonderful location right near a park and Kyoto Aquarium and a family mart right below. Our favorite hotel out of the major cities so far! Had a Starbucks right outside and was right outside of the train station. Staff were very nice and spoke great English when we needed it. Only thing we could think of as a negative was the location was far from big touristy spots like Gion or Nishiki market, but bus transportation is close by.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in kyoto. Quiet, fresh and clean, very comfortable, super convenient (across from bus and train station) and lovely surroundings (didn’t feel like a concrete jungle). Starbucks and convenience store right beside us. Of all the places we visited in Kyoto during our tours we continually agreed that this hotel made for the best home base. Breakfast buffet was wonderful!

Room was very clean, staff very friendly, breakfast had more Asian/japanese fair which was lovely for us. Couldn’t figure out if the AC on the wall worked but they already had a portable AC unit in the room Our room faced the Umekoji JR station but you could not hear it at all The Family Mart attached was very convenient
