"Great place slightly removed from the noisy city center (~30-minute walk through interesting neighborhoods—we like to walk!—or 14 minutes by easy public transport) with a local neighborhood feel, a pretty river close by, and convenient services (grocery stores, an excellent bakery). Bergen can have a chill in the mornings and evenings, being close to so much water, so we were extremely happy to feel the ambient heat under our feet. "The apartment was wonderful. The location was wonderful that you could walk to everything. A couple things not mentioned that not being from area would have been nice to know. Top floor is 5 flights on a narrow stairway so if you have luggage be prepared. Apartment is next to an all night bar and a McDonald’s. People were outside until 6am. So with windows open you heard everything. The ally to get to apartment was filled with broken glass and trash. "

"Spent just 3 nights but close to friends and family that we were visiting. Quiet spot and close to a grocery store (literally down the street), good restaurants, transportation, and cultural places. Very clean and had what we needed for preparing food. The washing machine was very helpful to have. "

"We had a great experience of Bergen in this cozy, centrally located place in one of the hillside quarters dominated by little alleyways and wooden houses. The place has everything you need and more, and the owner is super helpful and quick in communicating. Would definitely book it again."
