The COVID-19 outbreak may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't done away with our love of exploring. Here are some tips on how to cope with the new challenges of travelling:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before locking in your flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll have to follow on arrival, such as health testing.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, even at screening checkpoints. Be prepared to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
• Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer. Rather, position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for inspection.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will have to be removed from your bag for scanning.
• Empty everything from your pockets, such as your keys, phone and wallet, and put them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
• If you want to take food through the screening checkpoint, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
