This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom former farmhouse is perfect for a family holiday with its private swimming pool and South facing terrace. Renovated in 2010, the house has a fitted kitchen with dining area and a lounge giving onto the terrace. The 3 bedrooms and main bathroom are upstairs, and one of the two doubles has a shower cubicle. There is also a separate WC with basin downstairs.

There is one Tv (English channels only) and a PS2 which enables you to watch DVDs. The terrace, garden and pool can be accessed from the lounge and kitchen and all this area is enclosed. Whilst the hamlet has no shops, there is a small supermarket and Boulangerie in the village of l'Hermenault (3kms) and the town of Fontenay is 10 minutes away with all shops and services.

The lake at Mervent (14kms) has a good selection of watersports and there is also a small zoo, and the village of Vouvant is the same distance and has been voted one of the most beautiful in France. There are several pretty towns with weekly markets locally and beach lakes while the Atlantic coast is less than an hour away for a day out at some stunning beaches.

Also within an hour is the beautifully restored Roman town of La Rochelle with its attractive harbour lined with cafés and restaurants and the famous Ile de Ré just over the bridge or accessible on the ferry.
