This was our 4th trip to the area in summertime but our first time that we hadn't stayed in an apartment. We decided to push the boat out a little this time and it was well worth it. "A very well equipped and clean, modern, chalet located just off the main road between Abondance (3 mins drive) and La Chappelle (5 mins drive). Communication with the host was excellent - they were very friendly - and instructions, directions, etc, first class. They also recommend ski hire providers and offer to arrange lift passes for you. Towels & bed lined were included (and they also left us some sausage & a pasta bake as am added bonus!!). The chalet is comfortable for up to 8 adults but...

"The property is very well appointed and the location is ideal. We know Samoens well, having stayed there frequently over the last 20 years and we were very impressed by the chalet. The next door neighbours act as agents for the owner and are super friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely stay in this chalet again."

"Het huis was heel fijn, van alle gemakken voorzien. We waren met 14 personen en de keuken was hier goed in voorzien. Ook heel fijn dat iedere kamer een eigen badkamer heeft. Voor de bus naar Pre la Joux moet je een klein stukje omhoog lopen, is op een paar minuten loopafstand. Het centrum kun je lopend bereiken, ongeveer 20 minuten. We zouden het huis zeker aanraden!"

"Loved the view from this property overlooking the lake. Would have like air conditioning. A warning to anyone washing their clothes in the on-site laundry. It automatically dispenses soap and even after washing out clothes a few times after it stank of the soap smell very strongly. It gave my wife a headache and eyes watered. We could not believe we could not get that strong soap smell out. My wife almost threw away her clothes that she has washed there. Again don’t use their onsite...
