  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

Une déconnexion totale

L'endroit est idéal pour se déconnecter, c'est vraiment calme malgré que l'on soit a quelques mètres de la nationale. On est a environ 40 minutes de tout, il y a beaucoup de sorties a faire aux alentours. Le tapis de chauffage de la piscine est en plein soleil, les salles de jeu sont un réel plaisir et les hôtes très agréables. Le seul bémol est l'accessibilité du jardin par les enfants, les escaliers ne sont pas faciles d'accès, il faut obligatoirement les accompagner. Malgré cela, les enfants ont réellement apprécié et souhaitent déjà y retourner, même le chat Snowy est adorable.
