We used uber to get around with very few issues, but a car would be useful to have since it is not located in the main area of town. "My partner and I booked this property however when we arrived at 7pm, there was a large gate blocking the entrance and no one was there. We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. Extremely safe location, we felt very secure in fully gated property, that had 5 total separate units, all private to each other.Directions were spot on and check in was easy.Very clean and nicely appointed, rather new villa. Living space is compact but extremely functional.Host was very responsive and we were very happy with our stay."
