"Beautiful rooms and quiet. "

"I would not stay at La Jolla Shores again. The property is in need of serious investment. My room was out of the ‘80s - an in-window AC, zero electric plugs on the desk or night stand (yes you have to get on your knees to plug in your phone charger), the beds had body divots from lots (decades?) of use, the tub had a crack, the sliding screen door frame to the patio was bent and off its track, and the AC was not on when I arrived, so there was a noticeable musty smell. And, starting at 8am on Saturday morning construction crews were at it with very loud machinery (would have been nice if the hotel notified guests of the construction prior to booking)."

"Possibly the most beautiful property you could ever experience. The bar and restaurant could be updated a little but everything else is beautiful"

"This place was okay. Nothing amazing or terrible. The place is being renovated so there was painting etc going on. Overall the staff was very kind and helpful.. except for one person that wasn’t helpful at all. Our room was a newly renovated room..but it needed some work still. The phone didn’t work, the shower was backing up, and there were ants everywhere. With that being said, the bed was comfy, the walk to the beach was easy, and breakfast was decent. It was within walking distance of some tasty food so that was nice. I didn’t take advantage of the pool or free parking but those were perks as well."

"The breakfast staff was lovely, they were always kind with my kids, love all the gardens and its very well located. "

"It is one of the most outdated hotel I have ever stayed . Considering the price , I would say the value is pretty low. The hotel management should really consider some renovation . "

"Wasn't told from Expedia that hotel was going to be under construction and parking lot was closed. Parking had to be done through valet which I didn't mind but not being to access my vehicle right away was definitely not fun. Overall staff was understanding of the situation but the construction needs to be disclosed from either the hotel or Expedia."
