Be just steps away from La Jolla’s quieter Windansea beach when you stay at this beautiful newly renovated surf nest decorated in a boho mid century beach theme. Spend the day at the beach, just two blocks away, or at the home’s private pool. In addition to being just 2 blocks from the beach, you’ll be close walking distance to La Jolla and Bird Rock restaurants, coffee, cafes, shops, and a Sunday morning Farmer’s Market. There are also nearby trails, caves, and seals to check out.

The one story home features 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom with king size bed opens out to the pool. Another bedroom, with queen size bed, looks at a private patio. Third bedroom offers twin bunk bed plus trundle rollout twin, to sleep 3 separately, and opens to its own private patio. in addition to air conditioning and heating, each room also have quiet high speed ceiling fans.

The main living areas include a spacious living room with plenty of seating and a large flat screen tv. Dining room includes a large table with seating for six and a fireplace. Desk and chair and extra rolling computer tray are available for remote workers. Living and dining areas walk out to a private patio with pool, outdoor dining table and chairs, barbecue grill, and fireplace.

The newly updated kitchen offers all appliances including stove, oven, microwave oven, filtered water, refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, coffee maker, dishwasher, and many pots, pans, utensils, cooking and pantries supplies you may need.

The home is equipped with extra linens, towels, beach towels, and beach umbrella. It is also stocked with toiletries and a hair dryer. As well as cards, games, puzzles, books, and DVD movies. The laundry room is available with a washing machine, dryer, detergent, iron, and ironing board.

Fir those traveling with babies, we have a new Graco pack-n-play with sheets, that also has a bassinet feature for younger babies.

Three parking spots are provided and plenty of parking in front.

Things you should know:
- The pool is not heated
- No smoking in or on property.
- There are 3 steps to enter the property. There is 1 step into a shower. Which might not make the home suitable for everyone.
- Pet friendly fenced in yard
- Quieter neighborhood suitable for quieter guests. Excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties are not allowed.

Beautiful Home

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Jolla. This property is so close to the beach. At night it’s so nice to open the windows and listen to the waves crash against the beach. The house is spacious and clean. It’s beautifully decorated and very warm/inviting. We had a great time!

Best place to stay if you're looking for a relaxing stay

Our reason for our stay was our mother went through a difficult cancer treatment and doctor suggested she reduce her stress. I liked this location was very thorough in the description making for an easy setup process. The hosts were great with communication. We arrived to a very clean spacious and complete house. The area was very quiet and easy to travel to areas. The week we spent was great for not only moms health but our own as well. We are looking forward to returning to this place

Beautiful house w/ great location!

We loved our stay at Surf Nest! Centrally located near shops and restaurants, walkable to the ocean. Clean and well kept, beautifully appointed and comfortable. Our kids loved all she games and we loved hanging out on the pool deck. The owners gave us all the info we needed up front and had lots of great recs for places to eat nearby. Now that we’ve fallen in love with La Jolla, we’ll be back!

Family Vacation

Amazing location and perfect access to everything we wanted. The home had lots of space to allow us to e joy it when we were not out doing things. The kitchen was amazing. Definitely would visit again!

Perfect location for a fun girl’s week

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Surf’s Nest. It has been beautifully renovated while keeping the mid century design of the house. It is a very short walk to the beach to watch sunsets or have a picnic while soaking up the sun. La Jolla and Bird rock are both close to the home. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Highway 5 to go to other areas of San Diego. The traffic is rough between 4-6:30pm so plan around those times.

Great vaca stay

Property is charming, clean, brightly sunshine lit and well stocked. Great location to the ocean, San Diego, La Jolla and Del Mar. We did some sightseeing and went to the Breeders Cup races. Owner very responsive. Highly recommend.

A great experience

Anyone who uses hotels knows that price inflation is crazy! In that context this house is truly fantastic value for money. It’s brilliantly located, really well equipped and maintained to a very high standard indeed.

VaCa with family

Perfect location. Short drive to the Zoo, beach, tide pool and seals. Great for children of all ages!! Nice quiet neighborhood. Beach chairs and umbrella provided made it convenient for our day at the beach. Excellent restaurants also close by.

We had the best time in San Diego and this house was awesome! We could walk to the beach every morning! The house was perfect for our family to lounge at the end of a day of exploring. The pool was such a bonus. This house was clean, beautiful, very well stocked and the beds were so comfortable. We loved our stay!

Comfortable stay in La Jolla

We enjoyed staying at Melanie's beautiful house. The house had all needed amenities and was very clean. The instructions were pretty clear as well. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The house was great - layout perfect, very pretty, had everything we needed. The outdoor space was lovely. The location was fantastic - 2 blocks to the ocean, walking distance to shops, etc but still very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were wonderful! We would stay again definitely!

Great Spot to get a way!

This home was lovely for my children and my parents to stay a week in LaJolla. It was close enough for great morning walks on the beach and just a short drive into town. The home itself was well stocked throughout and very comfortable. We will look to book here again next summer!!

We really enjoyed the week at the Surf Nest. Great location for walking to Windansea beach, driving downtown to Seaworld and the zoo, or north to La Jolla shores beach. Our family loved the comfortable, clean house and spending time in the pool. Highly recommend. Home owner was very responsive.

Perfect getaway

Had a wonderful stay here, close to the beach and surf. Several restaurants are with in walking distance and oh so many more just a shirt drive. The house is great, very private and clean. Very well outfitted with everything you need. We just thought it was great!!!

Better than in the pictures

It's way better than in the pictures. Very happy with the house. The location is great. A quick walk to WindadseaBeach, quick drive to La Jolla Cove. Really central in San Diego itself. Great communication. It has everything you need, The pool was too cold to swim in due to some unusual cold front in San Diego in winter, which is to be expected, but kids had fun anyway.

Beautiful home with everything!

My husband and I, and our two adult children, had plenty of room in this lovely home. It was so comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Such a close walk to a beautiful beach and close to amazing shops and restaurants. Loved it!
