Serene 4BR La Mesa Hideaway

Summary:

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene four bedroom space with a pool, backyard playground, BBQ, and nostalgia popcorn maker. You'll enjoy the oversize bedrooms, with comfortable sleeping arrangements and ample closets for all. No matter which room you're in, you'll enjoy the views from this home in the quiet hills of La Mesa. On an acre, with fireplaces, a desk, TV's & outdoor seating, you'll be able sip coffee, relax and unplug, hike the hill, or get work done in this versatile space.



The Space:

Upon making the turn up the long driveway to this beautiful home in the hills, you will be swept away into the privacy and quiet serenity. This is the front home, with two smaller vacation rentals sharing the outdoor spaces of the property. Going up the two front steps, you will find the entry door with a welcome sign, and keyless entry smart lock on the door to your right. You will enter the home into a formal entryway which leads to the living room. The hallway has two entries, one being through the living room. Going to the right of the hall you will find the master bed and bath to the end on the right. The master bedroom provides a large king bed, bookcase, dresser, two closets, and many drawers. The master bath has a large glassed in shower and double sinks. Across the hall from this room is the room with two double beds.



Down the hall from these rooms is first the room with the double bed, Smart TV, and Big Joe beanbag chair, followed by the second bathroom, with tub, and double sinks, and the laundry area. At the opposite end of the hall from the master is the room with the queen bed, sliding door to the backyard, and sitting chair. Also in the hall you will find large closets with additional towels, laundry supplies, and storage space.



Each bedroom has a long closet with plenty of hangers, and drawers to get comfortably unpacked and feel right at home. With easy access to laundry, you can be confident you'll have clean clothes for your vacation no matter how much you decide to pack.



Exiting the hallway through the far side next to the queen room, you will enter into the kitchen, where you will see panoramic views of the pool and the surrounding trees. There is also an office desk for those who want to get some work done, while taking in the views.



In the kitchen, we've taken special care in deciding what to provide, including stainless steel cookware and cooking utensils, and Kingstone cutlery so you can feel comfortable to cook any and every meal. We also provide salt and pepper grinders, cooking oil, and coffee mugs, drinking, and wine glasses for all. With mixing bowls, Tupperware, and Pyrex dishes, you can prepare any dinner or dessert while taking in the views. Did somebody say popcorn? We have furnished this home with a nostalgia popcorn maker, with kernels, oil, and bags to provide a fun vacation experience. The coffee bar is also stocked with hot chocolate for the kids, as well as coffee and teas. Whether you decide to go with the French press, or the standard drip coffee, you will have no problem getting your caffeine.



To the left of the kitchen is the dining table, and second fireplace, which is an open concept, wrapping back around to the living room. The living room provides a big screen TV and a large sectional with a chaise. Games and puzzles are also provided for your enjoyment.



Travel crib, toddler floor mattress, and high chair are available in the entry closet for those traveling with littles. (Occupancy can be extended to 12 guests if utilizing both additional sleeping arrangements) Guests do not have garage access. Outdoor spaces are shared with other guests. The pool is open year round, however it’s unheated so our typical swim season is May-October.

The Neighborhood:

Centrally located in the rolling hills of San Diego County, La Mesa is known as the Jewel of the Hills. A near perfect climate, tree-lined streets, walkable neighborhoods, easy access to retail and commercial areas, and a quaint downtown village make La Mesa a highly desirable community! It is about a 15-20 minute drive to all of San Diego's main attractions - the Zoo, Seaworld, Coronado Beach, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Downtown, Petco Park, and the SD Convention Center.



Getting Around:

Driving is the best way to get around, though it's a nice 20 minute walk (through the hills) to the farmers market and shops in La Mesa Village.

Home away from home

It was beautiful , the house was very nice . I would revisit again , The host was very welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate me when I asked for a early check in and late check out . Thank you for everything !!
