"This is the absolute cutest hotel nestled in the hills about 15 minutes drive south from the airport. We loved our stay here so much we came back a couple of nights later during our trip. The rooms are simple but clean, and the area is so quiet you can hear the coqui frogs in the trees all around at night. We loved sitting at a patio table next to the pool just listening to the frogs. Absolutely enchanting environment. The staff is also super friendly and helpful."

"The room was fine, but nothing special. They would really benefit by having coffee makers in the room. They advertise free breakfast from 8:00-11:00, but it was often not ready until 8:15 or 8:30. All they had was coffee, corn flakes, small packs of graham crackers, and milk. The views from the decks are nice, and the pool was always clean and we never saw anyone else in the pool. It’s a quiet, comfortable place to stay."

"The place never had water whenever it did have a little bit of water. It wasn’t enough pressure to even flush a toilet. Some outlets didn’t even work and it wasn’t even properly clean when we got there. Everything was dusty. We talked the people in charge multiple times regarding the fact that there wasn’t any water and they just kept telling us that they couldn’t do anything about it. I told them I wanted a refund and they told me they could only do like 150 back, which is basically nothing, considering the fact that they weren’t even providing the basic necessities. I couldn’t even enjoy my stay because I kept having to talk with them every single day to complain why there wasn’t any water and every single time I told them they required me to send videos and pictures. They said that 150 was enough money for my troubles. I told them that I had children with me and I needed water and it didn’t matter even on day, one one of the AC units didn’t work and I didn’t even stay there for the first couple days because of the AC problem in the water problem and they still didn’t reimburse me for those days after I told them I was leaving a bad review. They told me that they were taking that as a threat and put my very small refund on hold not to mention, they were also cockroaches everywhere even inside the walls. It was very disgusting and before they say, we were the only ones that had this problem. No, we weren’t every single person there didn’t have water because we asked."

"Well maintained property. The pool is refreshing and has a children’s area. The location is ideal, across the street from Luquillo beach and the kiosks. Breakfast is adequate. All staff are friendly and helpful. There is a parking fee if you have a car on the property."

"This is my most favorite place on Puerto Rico to stay at!!! Everything about our stay was fabulous.....except I loved the smell of the hotel so much that they need to sell the fragrance for home use (with a diffuser) or they need to sell candles of the scent. Many hotels have their signature scent available The El Conquistador should as well. That is my only complaint. I will be back!!!"

"It was a very comfortable place, conveniently located near the airport and Old San Juan. The facilities were beautiful and comfortable, and the lady who welcomed us was always very friendly and helpful."
