"Lovely friendly Hostel. Currently being renovated and new rooms will be modern and bright. We stayed in one of the older rooms which was functional for our visit but basic as we expected. A kettle would have been a bonus but hopefully in the upgrades this will be available. We loved stunning Altea - and the view from the roof was amazing, we would definitely come back to the area. "The room we booked at the CookBook hotel (Junior Suite) came with the most wonderful balcony (it was huge!) and a separate little lounge area. The bathroom was large, clean and well stocked with nice products. I had a massage one day in their spa, which was wonderful. The food in the restaurant was lovely - though we didn’t realise it wasn’t open until Thursday so had to find alternative arrangements on our first night. Not a problem though, as gave us the opportunity to walk into Calpe and see...
