Wine in the Tarn has a long history! You’re in a vineyard that dates back over a thousand years, as the first evidence of grapevines dates to the 6th century. The holiday rental is nestled in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, and the owners are winemakers themselves. The owners’ vineyard is less than 2 km from the cottage and features 11 hectares of organically farmed vines that produce Gaillac AOP wine. The cottage is located in the Albi-Gaillac-Cordes-sur-Ciel “golden triangle,” an area brimming with charm and authenticity. Explore the nearby hilltop villages and fortified towns, discover the region’s rich historical heritage, or taste the estate’s wines. The Aiguelèze recreation centre is less than 4 km away and features a golf club, water activities, and canoe and paddleboard rentals. THE COTTAGE: La Maison de Prat Coutel is a family home. It is attached to the owners’ home, but each has its own private entrance and is not overlooked by neighbors. Ground floor: - dining table and open-concept kitchen equipped with: dishwasher, oven, toaster, kettle, drip coffee maker, Nespresso capsule coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator with freezer - separate living room with TV, board games - wheelchair-accessible bedroom with a double bed and an adjoining bathroom (grab bars) - separate wheelchair-accessible bathroom, laundry room with a washing machine, a second refrigerator-freezer, and cleaning supplies Upstairs: - bedroom with a double bed and a desk - master bedroom with a double bed and a convertible bed for children (ideal for children under 10, which can be converted into a 90x190cm bed) and an adjoining bathroom - Children’s bedroom with 3 single beds that can be joined together and a double bed - Bathroom with a large shower, toilet, and double sink Outside: - Shaded patio, patio furniture, barrel with bar stool, offset umbrella - Private garden with a shaded area, picnic tables for adults and children, and a gas grill - Private 4 x 5m pool with steps and a small shallow area, flat bottom at 1.50m, and a pool cover with support bars.
