The city stands just outside the western suburbs of Bordeaux, overlooking the Bay of Biscay. Drive northwest from Bordeaux’s centre for about 30 miles (50 kilometres) to arrive here in roughly 1 hour. Make your way around the region for other sites such as Lège-Cap-Ferret, Arès and Saint-Émilion.
