Lux Downtown Flat with Gameroom & Fire Pit

Welcome to the Cypress Flats! This 2 bed, 2 bath flat has an open concept layout with high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and large windows that flood the space with natural light. The concrete floors and metal finishes create an industrial feel, and designer furnishings bring a touch of luxury to the space. There's also a game room in the lobby for added fun. Surrounded by trendy restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as cultural attractions. One block from parades & festival main stage.

The building was originally built around the 1940's and was owned by the United States Postal Service. It was renovated into 5 modern industrial apartments in 2022, that range in size and still has the DMS Mail Management sign in the exterior. The building includes a shared lobby/game room, a fully fenced back yard, and a parking lot. This apartment has 2 bedrooms with queen beds & TVs, 2 full bathrooms, a dining area, living room & full kitchen. It also includes a washer and dryer.

Train station & bus stop located directly across the street. There is plenty to do on foot as well.

*The building is located across from the Rosa Parks center and train station in downtown Lafayette & is within walking distance of everything in the downtown area: coffee shops, restaurants, museums, nitelife, art walk, etc. It's located one block from the main stage for Festival Internationale, downtown live, etc. It's within 2 blocks of Mardi Gras parades. It's the perfect location for travelers to experience a little bit of our city.

*The preferred mode of travel here is Uber or Lyft. Bicycles work in the downtown area, and we do have a bike rack in the back yard. Bike rental is available at Hub City Cycles at 501 Jefferson St.

A Perfect Downtown Stay

The location and aesthetics of this property were absolutely perfect. It's situated close to some of the best spots in Lafayette—we were able to walk to fantastic restaurants, museums, parks, and shops. It’s also just a quick drive to the university and other popular areas around town. The home had everything we needed and felt welcoming and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The game room was a great bonus, especially on rainy days. Communication with the host was excellent and hassle-free, and both check-in and check-out were simple and smooth.

My husband & I plus our dog stayed in 2-bedroom unit E for 4 nights. We loved the ease of going in & out and the amenities provided. We got plenty of rest in the amazingly comfortable beds and would stay again if visiting the area. Very cool upscale rental 👍

Great location - walking distance to coffee, entertainment, great restaurants! Great job of conversion of building to small apartments. Everything you need - washer/dryer, kitchen, completely equipped for short or extended stays. Convenient parking and access to highway, airport etc. Located in the heart of Lafayette!

Short Stay Lafayette

We were in town for a baby shower. Luckily we found this little gem!!! We loved the cool decor!! Clean and comfortable!!! Great restaurants, bars, galleries and entertainment are all walkable from this location. And it has a private parking lot!!!

This stay was perfect for Mardi Gras. Very close to downtown and very clean. Would have preferred a door code as to the actual key but it certainly will not keep me from renting this place again.

Excellent experience -easy access to town and all restaurants -very safe location and property - comfortable bed and pillows -had everything we needed -except needs new wine bottle opener as the one there is broken - toilet seat needs to be tightened in bathroom that adjoins bedroom in back of unit - so minor and these little things did change our review of property -very clean unit

Flat that was far from flat!

I have stayed in many VRBO's and this one was hands down, my favorite! It was so clean and the owner was incredibly responsive. She even checked in with me during my stay to see if I needed anything. The interior was so cute and it was HUGE! I had more than enough space to put all of my stuff. The beds were so comfortable. I even ordered the same pillows from Amazon when I left! I will definitely stay there again when I go back to visit my family in Lafayette!

The cutest little art deco meets industrial spot!

My best friends and I met in Lafayette for a non-traditional thanksgiving. We wanted something close to restaurants and attractions but also somewhere that welcomed our fur babies. This place was perfect. The fenced in area with a fire pit allowed us time to catch up and get fresh air without being stressed about keeping our pets leashed. Also the unit has 2 full baths in addition to the 2 bedrooms so there was never an issue with 3 adult women trying to get ready! The hosts were phenomenal! They answered quickly if I had any concern. The apartment was decorated so cute and there was really everything we needed and more to accommodate us. I HIGHLY recommend this VRBO rental. We will definitely be back.

Great property & All around experience!

The property was just as described. It was in walking distance to downtown parks & restaurants and close to I-49/1-10 and ULL campus. The kitchen had almost any utensil or seasoning you could need. Plenty of places to charge devices. My kids loved the couch swing! Smart TV in the living area & each bedroom. The shared game room & outdoor yard were also nice. Teresa was a very attentive and communicative host. Definitely recommend!
