Was O Castello perfect? No....but awful darn good and every other guest I spoke to said the same. Perfectly located and easily accessed in a lovely village with great restaurants only a few minutes walk away. And what a view from clean and well-appointed rooms managed by attentive staff. Truly a bargain at any price and an ideal romantic escape.

Absolutely everything on point as usual. Looking forward to the next trip

Excellent apartment for a family. 20 minutes walk into town a little longer back as uphill. A small area without a path but road fairly quiet. Probably need a car to carry the shopping if doing a little self catering. Cleaning every day if you let them, with a plentiful supply of towels. A few dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee and a little washing up liquid means the little things don't need to be bought. Even pool towels. Would consider another stay!

Really amazing hotel. Apartments are clean, safe for children, spacious and provided everything we needed. Staff could not do enough to help us. Really conveniently located. Would highly recommend!

Spotlessly clean, large well apponuted rooms with everything you could want. The location is exceptional, inthe heart of it all. Staff were the cherry on top,so friendly and helpful! Cant eait to go back

This is a modern hotel with an interesting selection of artefacts and antiques scattered around the spacious cool marble spaces. Its very clean and well maintained. Breakfast from 8am to 11am is perfect timing for me as I like to take things slowly in the morning. Lots of choice at breakfast, all the standards - fruit, cereals , eggs cooked to order. Went to Salema with partner and 3 kids, 15,9 and 8. Villas were of a particularly high standard. Spotless clean and with all the mod cons. Pool was lovely and never packed despite the size of the complex. Salema itself is very small with not much in it but it's a nice change from the surrounding large resorts. It has a fabulous fish restaurant on the beach and a pretty good pizzareia. Had a very relaxing holiday here. Would recommend it and I would go back. Super resort.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was really spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Great shower, comfortable bed, and refrigerator in room, plus a kettle for heating water, and supplies to make tea or espresso. The breakfast was great, the best we have had in our 7 weeks in Europe. Staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful, cool, and peaceful.

It's a lovely modern hotel. Rooms are fabulous and the property has a rooftop infinity pool with plenty of loungers. The property has a really nice spa with an indoor pool that you pay to use. Food is good and reasonably priced. The property overlooks the river Arade with really nice views of Portimao Marina to the left and Tivoli Marina to the right and the fishing village of Ferragudo straight ahead. Staying here was so peaceful. Breakfast was very nice, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. Tiny critism, the crepes would be better warm! The Villa was exceptional and so comfortable. Lovely pool area. Would definitely love to come back to stay again!
