"This was the worst property I have ever stayed at, it was on a nicely kept complex grounds were nice however you went downstairs to it there were cockroaches, ants galore the lounge had been separated with a stud wall cutting out all natural light making the lounge so small it felt so claustrophobic with the lights out it was pitch black!! "Exceptionally clean room and hotel generally. 2 bed townhouse was perfect for use - v spacious rooms (much better than photos) and had patio downstairs and roof terrace as well. Worked really well for us having 2 teenagers who wanted to ‘chill’ or have a lie in! We were half board. Service was a bit slow for a couple of evenings and half board menu's a bit limited but overall food was very good. Breakfast was excellent. Pool wise our youngest couldn’t use the adult pool and the main pool area was a bit busy at times but as sitting by the pool isn’t really out thing this wasn’t an issue for us. Location was ideal - couple of mins to walk to nice beach. Cheap 5 min Uber into Lagos which worked well for evenings as the lobby bar was a bit small and feels like its just a passing through area- would have been nice to have somewhere to sit outside in the evening. Staff all very helpful and friendly."

"Expedia’s website does not mention the reception is actually Editory by the Sea next door. We were greeted by a person called Diva and she was very unfriendly. She refused to issue three room cards, tried to charge us €20 per person for breakfast rather than the correct rate of €15 and did not entertain an upgrade to commemorate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. This last point was a shot in the dark but we didn’t expect a cheeky reply. Luckily her colleague picked up on her attitude and apologised. She also, issued a 3rd card in the morning. Her name is Isa - if you get her then you’ll feel like a premium guest! The breakfast was a varied spread hot and cold. The pool indoors is small but well maintained. Ourdoor pool has a bar! The apartment was spacious. Plush fittings, rain fall shower was powerful and much needed given the 30° temp. AC, micro, oven, fridge, huge dinning room table. TV in bedroom and lounge. 3 balconies!. Three speedy lifts, car park in basement (well lit and clean). I would give 5 stars across the board had it not been for Diva - she just needs retraining. All other staff were polite and caring. Beach board walk 5-7 mins away. Supermarket 3 miles away - loads of places to each in the old town 7 mins in uber. Rooms cleaned every 4 days but fresh towels on request. I would stay there again."

"Walls were THIN, could hear everything from the street at points it sounded like people were talking in our room we could hear their conversation so clearly. The air conditioning was the most confusing air conditioning , never figured it out by the end of the stay would just click buttons until it turned on and stayed on. Otherwise the stay was fine it is located in a great area, very very walkable with restaurants and shops nearby in the heart of Lagos. The views from the rooftop were amazing and front desk was helpful."

"Overall, the apartment was exactly what we wanted. The location is perfect. It was very clean and we enjoyed it very much. The only issue was with check-in after research and receiving a message through Expedia we were told we had to check in at a different location, which we did we had the Uber driver drop us off there however we were given miscommunication and had to check in at the main apartment. It was very frustrating and the person on the desk said that many people are doing the same thing. So I think the message being sent out automatically has to be changed."

"Hotel is very bright and well maintained. Front desk staff are very helpful and speak good English. Hotel is in a good location about 10 minutes drive to old town Lagos and about a 15 walk to the nearest beach. Quiet location, no clubs or bars nearby. Hotel breakfast buffet is basically continental style, very good and clean. Rooms very clean and spacious, ours even had a sofa with a pull out bed. Parking is free on hotel grounds in front of the lobby building. We loved the outdoor hotel pool, this is the largest hotel pool I have ever seen. There are even two wading pools and a kids playground as well. Beach chairs are not too crowded. There is a hotel bar between the front desk and the pool. The only thing we didnt like is that we were surrounded by rooms with smokers. Every time we tried opening our balcony door for some fresh air, the smell of smoke quickly flooded our room. This is kind of out of the hotel's control, but something we could have done without. Perhaps they could put smokers and non smokers in different parts of the hotel?"
