A little odd to check in at the Atlantic hotel next door then walk next door to the Shamrock Hotel. The bedroom felt old and needed updating. No fridge, no safe and no bottled drinking water (on request two bottles supplied) Soap dispenser empty which was filled on request sadly it was not fixed back to the bathroom wall. The dinner in the bar was excellent the breakfast choices average.

Our room small, with stained carpet and very hot with only 1 of the 2 windows able to be opened. We asked for a fan. The revellers walking up the street were very loud till 4.30 am. Not a great stay.

Good location in Lahinch. Slight confusion on whether we were staying in this hotel or the Atlantic next door as they seem to be one and the same. No matter - the room we had was fine - maybe a tad dated in decor - but perfectly comfortable for one night. Breakfast - the full Irish naturally - was great. We did have a small issue with ghost-music - a medley of 60's rock and roll we could hear faintly in our room and it briefly drove us crazy to locate the source. In the end a chat with Reception resolved the problem - seemed to be piped music into the renovated rest-rooms which made its way to room 18. The kind lady switched it off and all was tranquil again. Lahinch is a great town with a fantastic beach - we watched the surfers for ages. Recommended

The quality of the accommodatiion exceeded my expectations of a small town hotel. Everything was very clean. The people were all very nice.
