Amazing Pocono Fountain House
From the moment we walked into the house, we knew we chose the right place to stay. We all felt comfortable. The house was stocked with all the necessities. The beds were comfy. The views of the pond and lake were awesome. The wildlife was exciting to see. Amazing stay. Shawn was a great host. So helpful and friendly!

Perfect Family Escape

Beautiful, cozy, relaxing
Everything was just as promised. We had 1 tiny issue with trash a previous renter had left, but the owner ensured that it was taken care of it right away, even though it was a holiday weekend. Communication was perfect, check-in/out was a breeze. Would love to stay again in the spring some year!

Great NYE getaway!
We had a great time at the Poconos Fountain House. The Jacuzzi and record player got tons of use. We did some snow tubing at Adventure Center at Sky top Lodge and that was a blast!

Great House and Location
The property has an older mountain house feel which is exactly what we wanted for our family getaway. Property had everything including a great hot tub and great fire pit area for our family. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing time with your family.

Adorable Cabin with great view
We spent a short weekend at the Lake. Despite the rainy weather, we had the best time exploring the area with our family and 2 dogs. The cabin is cozy and clean in an excellent location. Will definitely be returning!

Awesome hosts!
My husband and I enjoyed our time at this peaceful home. It has a beautiful updated fully stocked kitchen, clean bathroom and amazing view from the deck. Shawn is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ host; best VRBO host we have had. He was easy to communicate with and was very attentive to our needs (which wasn’t much as the house was as described).

Great Lake getaway
Family had a great week there and perfect weather for sure. We took advantage of the entire community as well. We used the canoe and kayak on the little pond and Deer Lake. Kids loved the beach and pool as well. Kitchen was well equipped. Eat inside or on the deck al fresco. Board games and record player were a lot of fun as well. Grateful for the accommodations and week away with family.

Relaxing week
My husband, adult daughter, and I spent a lovely week in this home. Our adult son and his girlfriend joined us for part of the week as well and we were very comfortable. The AC did a fine job of keeping the whole house nice and cool. I particularly enjoyed the mornings on the deck and was visited by deer and two adorable ducks. We did little day trips to places like Paws 'N' Claws and Why Not Riding Stables. We even visited Camelback and Mount Airy Casino. We had a great meal at Gresham's Chophouse which is very close to the place we booked a scenic boat ride on the lake. We visited the lovely Three Hammers Winery as well. The fire pit was fun and we enjoyed the hot tub too. Any time I contacted Shawn, he was very quick to respond and is a wonderful host!. I would certainly recommend the Pocono Fountain House! Great owners, nice property
This home is located in the middle of a lovely planned community with all sorts of amenities available that our family enjoyed. The house is on the edge of a smaller pond which we hoped to access, but the recent rains made it too marshy to do much with. The kids did enjoy catching frogs and whatnot, though. The other pond is just a block over and was very nice, including docks to fish and launch boats, a swimming and small beach area, etc. There was also access to Lake Wallenpaupak itself, but that was a bit farther down the road (still walkable). Lake Wallenpaupak access feels like it could be upgraded, but it was still usesble tomfish, swim, and boat. The house itself was quite enjoyable; the deck and hot tub are particularly nice. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and the gas grill was newer and worked great. We also enjoyed having access to different streaming services when we unwound at night. The beds were comfy, and the bathrooms were more than adequate for the size of the house. Best part was the responsiveness of the owners to our needs and how helpful they were with questions and whatnot before the trip. Shawn really made the check in and check out process easy and when we were in the building he was responsive to questions and whatnot. We may come back another year and I'll be looking to see if this property is available when we do.

Great Experience (and a hot tub)
My family and I had a great time staying at Shawn's beautiful lakefront home. We rolled in with two young kids, a baby, and a dog and we had everything we needed. Shawn even had a collapsible crib so we didn't have to haul a pack n play in our already packed car. The view was great, neighbors were friendly, and the kids rarely left the hot tub. Small but important thing for me, the tvs we're all set up and ready to go with multiple streaming options. Necessary to temporarily occupy the baby so my wife and I could enjoy 10 uninterrupted minutes on the deck enjoying the beautiful lake views! We had a minor issue where a contractor working on the house before our stay didn't fully clean up but Shawn was incredible in his response. He made every effort to make things right and left my wife and I more than satisfied. Couldn't have been more friendly/responsive/communicative. We would come back in a heartbeat and look forward to doing so! Just be warned that your kids may not enjoy the lake in favor of staying in the hot tub!

Mostly fantastic
First and foremost, property owner was fantastic. We had asked if it would be ok to come a day earlier and we were able to. There’s just a few things to note that I know will be helpful to other people searching for a property for vacation. There is new construction right next door that’s is being built on the weekends. The homeowner building the house is super nice. We had a few great conversations with him, but the noise might be a distraction for others. The community is very nice for walking, biking, lots of people driving around golf carts and plenty of places to fish. There’s a nice beachy area. My oldest child enjoyed the gym in the mornings. He’s 16. But he did mention the basketball court had a ton of gnats flying around so they were unable to enjoy the court. The indoor pool for the community was not operational. That was the main reason why we booked and weren’t aware that it wasn’t operational until we arrived. My 11 year old was bummed about that. The record player didn’t have a needle and we did have to drive out and replace the propane tank for the grill. Other than those issues, the place was great. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was fantastic, especially that the weather wasn’t super great. Very cold. Tons of board games and very well stocked kitchen. We were able to make a very nice Easter dinner sat night.

We rented the cabin for a few days over the holidays and had a terrific stay. Very nice cabin, exactly as described, nice location on lake. Communication with the owner was excellent. I highly recommend the cabin to all those considering it for their next getaway. We had a group of 7 and 2 dogs and had plenty space and a great time.

The property met all of our needs. We enjoyed the hot tub, had a nice view, and slept well. There were plenty of towels, tv’s, and there were not a lot of people around so we had an enormous amount of privacy. We will look to stay here again and recommend this spot for a nice get away.

Cabin on the lake
Had a great long weekend at this cabin. Kids/Teens enjoyed the Xbox and hot tub. Adults and dogs enjoyed the deck with views. Very dog friendly as the deck has gates on both ends to keep pups in. Quiet/ off season in November but I bet summer there is loads to do in the community. Plus you could use the canoe and kayaks this home provided. Thanks for sharing you house with us!

Good Getaway
The kitchen was well equipped, the house was clean upon arrival, and the view of the lake was beautiful with the fall foliage. The property owner was fantastic with communication before, during, and after our stay. The only drawback is that construction is ongoing directly next door during the weekend so anything outside is not quiet or private but the construction team was very nice and polite. Overall a great getaway and wonderful to have our whole family together, including our pup!

Pocono Fountain House appropriately named
This chalet was private and had a beautiful, relaxing view of the pond fountain and Deer Lake from the spacious deck. The house was well stocked and organized with necessities and more. The owner, Shawn, is extremely nice, accessible and very accommodating. We were not savvy regarding Roku TV, and Shawn was very helpful with that. We definitely recommend this property!

Had a great week at the Fountain House, enjoying all the quite and all the wildlife in the area. We have stayed at many VRBO homes and this was one of the more enjoyable times. Although we did not have any major concerns it was nice to know that Shawn would give an instant reply. Host reply time can make your stay a great one or not so great. Would not hesitate to return to the Fountain House.

Great little getaway
Great little getaway! Definitely enjoyed our stay! It was convenient having a canoe and two kayaks! You can not beat the view from the deck! Definitely would stay here again! We were a family of five, mom, dad , 14-year-old and 2 x 18 year olds. It was spacious for us but would not have wanted any more people in that space . Having two bathrooms is very nice! Communications with owner was phenomenal and I would highly recommend it!

We had a great family spring-break escape. The house is beautiful and the setting overlooking the pond and lake is stunning. The large deck has plenty of room to enjoy the surroundings. Would love to visit again when the water isn't frozen and we can take advantage of the kayaks and canoe.
