"decent place for a short stay, nice pool and deck area above. Breakfast is awesome, so that's what you're going for really. Only real negative for me was there was some trash in the underground parking area that someone should of and could of picked up but that was fairly minor and a small amount of stuff, 95% of parking area was clean. And hey, restaurants just 100 yards away and a Boot Barn!! hahaha. Staff was nice and accommodative. Just be aware there are kids swimming and having fun in the pool during the day. That didn't bother me at all though."

"We had a top floor ocean view room at the front corner, the view was amazing. The rooms are clean, bedding could have been updated, there is no extras in the kitchen as in dish soap, paper towels, silverware, etc. but otherwise was fine. Overall a great stay with a good location. The train and traffic was mentioned in other reviews, there are trains and traffic but didn't seem to bother us, heard once in the night the train and also got used to them, you are on a highway but the beach and listening to the waves made up for any other noise."

"Excellent room, good location, clarify parking charges ahead. Didn't hear about that until chkout. Would definitely stay with Sonesta again if they get the morning settled. Lighting and A/c very easy to adjust Really good shower head Hot water easy to adjust Larger than average tv. Didn't see USB charging but could be there I had blocks with me so just plugged into outlets. Only French Vanilla coffee and decaf in my room. Breakfast was cold items only may have been temporary. Walked to Carl's Jr. for breakfast, McD also across Lake Forest"
