"This was a great place for me to stay. I enjoyed the quiet around the room. The owner left me a note and the key to the room. I did contact her to let her know I arrived. I asked a quick question and she was very responsive and got right back to me. I actually got to meet her, her husband and child. Great conversation and I learned about the area. If thus is what you like then thus is for you."

"I just cannot say enough good things about this rental. We’ve rented many homes and apartments over the years and this is hands down the best one we’ve stayed at. Beyond the amazing location and beautiful home, there were so many thoughtful touches and furnishings. There is a small herb garden on the deck for cooking, walking sticks and umbrellas at the entrance, record player, lanterns to carry from the house to the sauna, orange vests for walks during deer hunting season… they truly thought of everything. We bought food in Duluth and cooked at the lodge every night. The plentiful dishware and place settings made for such nice, cozy meals. When the BWCA fires were happening I emailed the owners for a status update and they were so helpful and mentioned that they had purchased additional air purifiers for the house to keep the inside air quality clean. We had the best stay— highly recommend!!"

"A gorgeous home secluded in the deep forest. Beautiful views, and so lovely to relax on the high veranda. Home is well furnished with light touches of North Woods decor. Modest drive to Ely and to a few BWCA Entry Points. Host Tera was exceptionally responsive. Would stay there again, and highly recommend."

"The cabin was quaint and charming and had excellent reading material despite the low light. The bed was super comfortable which provided us a good night sleep since our days were full either kayaking or walking trails. I do wish the host communicated better. It didn’t matter if I texted him directly or through the VRBO app, he didn’t respond. To connect I had to call him directly. And lastly, without the oven working properly, the grill is your main cooking source which is a pain to cook on due to only half the grill working properly. Besides those couple of nuisances, we would definitely go back. And his dog is gentle and very cool!"
