Perfect stay

The unit was very well appointed and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the higher quality bedding, towels and blankets and the welcoming snacks. The location was perfect and we enjoyed the patio.

Wonderful vacation

We have stayed here twice and hope to stay here again soon. The location and property are wonderful. The condo has a relaxing view of Lake Como and beautiful green space. It was fun to watch the wildlife with their young. Wonderful place.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at The Getaway very much! It was so clean and bright. Wonderful views of Lake Como and grounds. We didn’t have much time to explore and the kids were definitely disappointed we didn’t get to the pool, but it was wonderful. Very well appointed. Great job Monica!

This is a lovely property in a quiet, beautifully maintained community. The condo itself is well-appointed and very comfortable -- it's a gem! We loved the patio that overlooks the lake and the nearby restaurants were delightful. Check-in was easy and Monica was very responsive before and during our stay. A short drive to Lake Geneva for shopping and sight-seeing made this a perfect getaway. We'll be back!

Family friendly lake weekend

We loved the condo. It was super clean and had a nice lake view. We really enjoyed the ground level with easy access to patio and large yard/field area for our almost 2 year old to run around and rode her bike on the sidewalks around. Even the neighbors was amazing! Great location and proximity to downtown Lake Geneva. Will 100% try to stay here again if we are back in town!

Quaintness at Lake Como

Our stay at “The Getaway” was charming! The nicely furnished quaint quiet 2 days was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed the games they had, the special treats they left for us, the cozy bed, and the gorgeous lake view! Walked down to the pier and caught some fresh air while others caught fish! The local shopping and eateries were FANTASTIC!

Monica was incredibly responsive and kind. I mentioned that we were celebrating my birthday and she got me a card as a part of our welcome basket. The space was inviting and clean. Overall, I appreciated her thoughtfulness. We would definitely return.

The property was nicely located, not too far from Lake Geneva for water activities, shopping, bars, and restaurants. The condo space was adequate for two people. There was one medium size and one small size garbage cans, no extra garbage bags that we could find. Two very small hand soap disks and a tiny shampoo and conditioner. Make sure to bring your own soap/shampoo products. We are not 100% sure what exactly we were smelling upon entering the condo, if it was a particular heavily scented cleaning product like Pine-Sol masking a pet door, dirty mop, or musky smell. We did think about leaving our visit early due to the heavy smell, but we stayed out of the condo during the days during our stay as long as we could, and when we're back at the condo for the evenings, we opened up the patio door and the front door to help bring some fresh air into the space. We really wish we could figure out what the odor was so we can describe it better, but a cleaning product like Pine-Sol masking a smell is the best we can do. Also, I wish we had taken into consideration that this is an older building with the unit on the bottom floor so people moving about above us, conversations, running water, and toilet flushing were heard, unfortunately. Aside from the location, this condo was just okay.

5-Star VRBO in all ways!

For our first ever visit to Lake Geneva we were extremely fortunate to find Monica’s property. Everything about the property is A. The communication at every stage was prompt, friendly and crystal clear. The property itself is spectacular! No detail was missed in what seems to be a recent renovation. All of the finishes, furniture, appliances, and amenities felt brand new. The decorating felt professionally done. The welcome basket and personal note was a wonderful touch and the back patio looking at Lake Como made for beautiful evenings. We preferred being 5 minutes outside of the city center as the whole condo complex was calming and serene. We would not hesitate to stay here again, in fact we would seek it out! Truly a first class experience that we cannot recommend highly enough!

We cannot wait to stay here on our next trip to Lake Geneva. It was extremely clean, accessible to shopping , the lake and reastaurants. The owners are wonderful, it is the best Vrbo we have stayed at. No false advertising, The greatest.

The condo unit was very nice and clean. The communication and check-in process was very smooth. It's a ground level unit so you will hear footsteps above you from time to time. My only real complaint is that the mattress was very worn out and uncomfortable.

We absolutely enjoyed our 10 day stay. The unit was clean, the view beautiful, everything was in great condition/tastefully decorated and the host did the little things that made it special. We walked to several restaurants, and it was centrally location to others.
