  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

The online photos seem to have been taken many years ago when the property was first built. There has been wear and tear on the facility since, I felt misled the moment I walked in the door. Additionally, there was a powerful cleaning smell throughout our stay, likely masking something else. And there were bugs located in the living space and a hornet's nest outside of the balcony.
