    Welcome to an unparalleled cabin retreat in the heart of Lake Lure. With the Broad River and a private beach as your back yard, adventure awaits at every turn, including tubing and kayaking down the serene river, fishing and rock climbing. Tubes, kayaks and fishing gear are all there waiting for you.
     
    The house has upper and lower covered porches looking out over the river, providing the perfect vantage point for watching the group playing in the river or sunbathing on the beach or playing cornhole. 
    A beautiful fire pit with lots of seating, a big gazebo with lights, ceiling fans and floodlights to light up the cornhole boards at night, a 4-person hot tub and an outdoor shower provide even more opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. You truly never have to leave the property, if you don’t want to.
     
    Step inside to discover a haven of spacious comfort, perfectly suited for groups seeking relaxation and connection. Although Wi-Fi can be spotty at times in Riverbend, it is provided, along with a dedicated workspace with a desk for those who still have to get a little work done while here.
     
    Games, cards, puzzles and tons of movies are at your disposal when you just want to take a load off and relax inside for a bit. There is a TV and Blu-Ray/DVD player upstairs and downstairs. With 13 beds and tons of room, this place is perfect for large groups wanting to escape and enjoy nature or just get away for a while.
     
    Two dogs are allowed. We do ask that you pick up after your pets as their dropping will kill the moss.

This was our 2 nd time at Shitz Creek, the house fitted our needs, allowed our daughters dog and we loved having the creek in the backyard.When we got there this year , we were in a holding situation because the house had been double booked… we eventually were told we could stay, immediately the hall toilet began to leak on the forest flush, we were told it would be fixed the next day, it wasn’t, On Sunday night there was a leak inside the wall behind the refrigerator, we were in constant communication with our host ,,sending pictures of the leaks that were coming up through the floor boards, leaking through the ceiling to the downstairs, flooding the area, wetting the bedding and living areas. We were very concerned and documented all of the above on video and pictures to our host. We asked if there would be compensated for our experience and stress but our host says it’s up to VRBO. I’m now reaching out to you for answers. Would you please check with our host and let me know your findings. Thank you, Respectfully, Lynne H
