"Although the property is very close to the interstate highway and our room faced the highway, once the door was closed there was very little noise. Once inside the room it is as good as any two-star hotel, with plenty of hot water, a mini-fridge, clean towels and bedsheets. There was a minimal free breakfast available--coffee, danish, cereal, and bananas. I only saw one staff person doing the check-in, cleaning the rooms, etc. She was very friendly and helpful. "For the 3 of us, it was great. We enjoyed the Presque isle hiking trails, kayaking and boat tour spread out over 3 days. Local meadery was a nice find. Campfire Friday and Saturday nights. "For our family, this is the best place we’ve stayed in Erie. The location is perfect for what we like to do. The owner is so responsive to any questions. The place is so clean…. I feel at home the minute I walk in. My 99 year old father-in-law says he remembers the place and would love to live there! North East is such a friendly town….we enjoy it so much. "It was a lovely setting for groomsmen pictures and breakfast for the guys for the morning of the wedding. I, personally, enjoyed the sunsets each night (Thursday & Friday). The only drawback was the stairs with 2 - 89 year old parents who needed something to hang onto when going up and down the steps. The curve was a bit challenging. Other than that, it was a very comfortable house with lots of room."

Beyond the fact that it was the perfect size for my group (7 adults), very clean, and stocked with everything we could possibly need, the best part of this property by far is the views!! "Me and my now fiancée stayed here for a weekend Valentine’s trip to wine country, the location is excellent, right in between tons of wineries, plenty of great food/restaurants and still on a quiet street just outside of town.
