We moved into the hotel to take advantage of the excellent wifi reception. Found the room was spacious and bright with street view and glimpse of lake.

Great service! Nice and comfortable room. There were some issues but a staff member took care of them in a timely manner. Heater in the room and hot water. Great location to visit places in town. I recommend to check the WiFi connection before settling. The room we stayed in had poor signal.

No bueno in Puno

This place advertises itself as accepting cards -- has MasterCard engraved on the glass door -- but it does not, evidently because they don't want to pay taxes. When we arrived they asked us to pay cash. We said we didn't have enough on us, so they said tomorrow. We said not tomorrow either, because we need to get more cash but use it to hire a translator for our work. They said they would get the machine fixed by the next day, but on the next day it became apparent they never had any intention of doing that. It's unclear whether they ever plugged the thing in. They became quite cold when we told them this presented a problem for us. Demanded our key 45 minutes before checkout time. This despite the fact that we were the only people staying in their hotel.
