"Property was clean and exactly as described. The most well appointed house we’ve ever stayed, with all the amenities you need for a great stay. The host was very responsive and we would definitely stay here again."

"Had an incredible stay this last weekend. Whole property is clean and well maintained inside and out. The house is very open and spacious. Furniture was all very comfortable and in great condition. We loved having the screened in porch off the back. The kids also thought the front room where they slept was great. Beds were a touch soft for my liking, but others didn't mind. The sheets, pillows and bedding were all in good condition.The gazebo is about halfway down the stairs to the lake and is really nice. Wonderful spot to enjoy the sunrise across the lake with a cup of coffee. Stairs leading down to the lake are all solid and lit. Water is deep off the dock. My kids had fun jumping off the upper level of the dock. Paddle boards and kayaks were also nice. They had several noodles you could use to float with as well.Will definitely be staying here again next time we come down to see our boys at the university. Provided some great family time at a memorable location."

"This property was tucked away on a wildlife preserve. Very quiet area with a lot of wildlife for observation. The house itself was very old (historic) but well kept. It had all the things you need to enjoy your stay without sacrifice. The property had everything you needed there already, I mean everything! We could have just pack clothing and traveled a lot lighter. A short walk to the pier offered fishing, swimming and kayaking. The surrounding area had everything needed. Shopping, dining and grocery stores were all within a twenty minute drive. With a slightly longer drive you could enjoy a number of beautiful lakes along with hiking trails. We had not one issue accommodating the dog in our everyday activities. We happened to arrive at the property just after a pretty devastating storm passed through. The host and owner (who lives nearby) were extremely accommodating in our every need during our stay. They truly went above and beyond any other property we have visited. "

"My wife and I travelled from the UK to visit our daughter and son-in-law in Tampa. One of the highlights of our stay was going to be travelling up to Tuscaloosa on Friday 11th - 13th October to visit our son-in-laws University and for my wife to see her 1st ever 'live' American Football game (Roll Tide). Sadly Hurricane Milton had other ideas, not helped by the remains of Helena . Being in mandatory evacuation zone A, we left Tampa Monday and didn't return until Friday and some water damage. Travelling up to Tuscaloosa therefore just not possible. Whilst we agreed to a non refundable full payment, under the extreme circumstances we thought their may be some understanding and compassion for a partial refund. After explaining our situation this was however immediately refused by the homeowner, although the letting manager Jamie (who was very understanding) did think something might be possible. For me this speaks volumes about the homeowner and would therefore advise anyone to think long and hard if interested in this property. When we try this visit again next year, this property will categorically not be considered."
