Great time at the Lake

This house is in a perfect location to the lake in town. It has four amazing bedrooms with their each with their own full size bathrooms. It's an old Victorian that has been very well taken care of. And the host is fantastic took care of all of our needs and answered all our questions. We will definitely go back.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love that this is a beautiful old house but with modern conveniences. It was plenty spacious with four bedrooms and bathrooms. The back yard was private and so peaceful with roses and a redwood tree. It was the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee. This home is one block off of Main Street, so easy walking to the downtown area and lake. My family loved this home and will definitely stay here again.

Cute but not clean

The home is old but charming. Unfortunately it had not been cleaned. There was dust and dirt under every piece of furniture and along all baseboards. There were cobwebs and spiders behind every curtain as well as on the large picture window in the dining room. The grate covering the filter was filthy with black dirt. The shelf on the landing was also very dirty. It seemed as though no one had been there for quite a long time. The lack of cleanliness really impacted our trip and made it unpleasant.

Cute but lacking

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would give this property an overall review of 4 but there were some areas that were lacking in a full house rental and some cleaning and maintenance issues. Positives are the house is really cute, great locations, beds were comfortable enough, host was accessible and helpful, for the size of the house it was a great price. Negatives are: Kitchen faucet wasn't working properly (Host said a new one is on order), the towel rack in the upper bathroom end mounting bracket fell off when I took the towel off, the downstairs left bathroom shower water got warm but not hot, the BBQ was with ants in the grill from leftover food in it and there are is no BBQ brush to clean it or other BBQ accessories. The biggest issue with the house is lack of cooking supplies. I rent a house to save money on eating out. We went to the store and bought groceries but couldn't cook what we bought. The house doesn't have a can opener, no cooking oil or stray, plastic wrap or aluminum foil. The cooking utensils consist of 2 spatula. There are 3 wood rolling pins but no baking sheets, loaf pans etc to bake with. I have a vacation rental and know what should be stocked in the kitchen for quests. Overall, great price for the size of the house and what it offers but if you plan of cooking in be prepared to eat out.
